The bolt geometry allows for optimal load distribution and Concrete C12/15
therefore enables use close to edges and in thin components. Natural stone with dense
Fewer hammer blows and the minimal torque slip page allow structure
for a noticeably simpler installation.
The drive-in pin protects the thread from damage and ensures
a trouble-free dismantling of the fixture.
INSTALLATION
The FAZ II is suitable for pre-positioned and push-through and is also ideal for stand-off installation thanks to the long thread.
When applying the torque, the cone bolt is pulled into the expansion sleeve and expand it against the drill hole wall.
The anchor is set in line with the approval once the present installation torque is achieved.

for stand-off installations, thus increasing flexibility.
Few hammer blows and minimal torque slippage allow for
a noticeably simpler installation.
The drive-in pin protects the thread from damage, and thus
ensures a faster installation and dismantling of the attachment.
INSTALLATION
The FBN II is suitable for pre-positioned and push-through installation; also suitable for stand-off installation under certain conditions.
Prior to installation, place the hexagon nut in the optimal position (the drive-in pin projects by approx. 3 mm out of the hexagon nut).
When applying the torque, the cone bolt is pulled into the expansion clip and expands it against the drill hole wall.
The head embossing offers a simple control of the anchorin.

The fischer Hollow-ceiling anchor FHY is a torque-controlled expansion anchor made of zinc-plated
steel. It consists of an expansion sleeve and a cone with internal thread and a hexagonal nut with
washer, or a threaded bolt with washer and hexagonal nut.
By tightening the nut/bolt, the cone is pulled into the expansion sleeve and expands said sleeve. An-
nex 1 shows the anchor types in its installed condition.
Regarding its dimensions and material characteristics, the anchor must correspond to the data given
in the appendices.
The material characteristics, dimensions and tolerances of the anchor not specified in this approval
notification must comply with the data registered by the ‘Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik’, by the
certification body and the independent supervisory agency.
The anchorage element consists of a class A non-flammable building material according to DIN
4102-01: 1998-05 ‘Brandverhalten von Baustoffen und Bauteilen; Baustoffe - Begriffe, Anforder-
ungen und Prüfungen’ (Fire behaviour of building materials and building components; Building mate-
rials; Concepts, requirements and tests)“.
2.2 Packaging, storage and identification
The anchorage element may only be packed and delivered as a complete unit. For the design ver-
sion with hexagonal bolt, the bolt and the related washer may be supplied separately in compliance
with chapter 3.4.
The manufacturer must ensure that each anchor's packaging, package insert or delivery note is
properly identified with the conformity mark (Ü-Zeichen) in accordance with the national regulations
1) The building component have to be fixed in a way that in case ot the failure of one fixing point a shifting of
the load on two neighbouring fixing points is possible. A fixing point is an anchorage which consists of one or
more anchors.

governing conformity marks. In addition the works symbol, the approval number and the complete
designation of the anchor are to be specified. The identification may only take place, if the assump-
tions in accordance with section 2.3 are fulfilled.
The anchor is characterised according to its works symbol, anchor type and the thread diameter, i.e.,
fischer FHY M 8.
The works symbol, the anchor type and the thread diameter according to Annex 3 are to be imprint-
ed on the anchor.
For anchorings using a threaded bolt, the strength class of the thread is to be marked in compliance
with Annex 2.
The records are to be kept for at least five years and to be shown to the independent supervising
agency. They are to be presented to the ‘Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik’ and the highest appro-
priate supervision authority upon request.
In case of an insufficient test result the manufacturer immediately has to take the necessary steps to
remedy the fault. Building products not complying with the requirements are to be handled in such
way that mistakes with complying building products are ruled out. The current tests are to be repeat-
ed immediately after the fault is remedied - as far as it is technically feasible and necessary to prove
the remedy of the faults.

The anchorages are to be designed by engineers. Taking into account the loads to be anchored, cal-
culations and drawings, capable of being checked are to be prepared.
Proof must be furnished that the web-width of the pre-stressed hollow board ceilings not exceeding
4.2 times the cavity width (b H ≤ 4.2 ≤ b St ; see Annex 1). The proof of the direct local transmission of
the anchor loads into the concrete member has been delivered. The transmission of the loads to be
anchored in the building component is to be proven.
Bending stress acting on the anchor may only be disregarded if all of the following conditions are
met:
- The fixture to be attached consists of metal and is braced flat against the concrete without any in-
termediate layer in the anchorage zone.
- The building component with its entire thickness abuts against the anchor.
- The clearance hole in the fixture to be attached does not exceed the values specified in Annex 4.
If the specified clearance hole diameter in the component to be attached cannot be maintained, spe-
cial measures must be taken (e.g. stronger washers) due to the risk of pull-through failure.
Additional stresses, which can occur due to inhibited deformation within the anchor, the component
to be attached and the component itself (e.g. during temperature changes) must be taken into con-
sideration.
3.2 Load bearing capacity
The design resistance acting on the anchors set in pre-stressed hollow board ceilings apply to the
stress directions axial tension, shear and oblique tension at any angle. The design loads are stated
in Annex 5 depending on the lower web thickness d u of the pre-stressed hollow board ceiling.
For the ultimate limit state it has been proved that the calculation is in compliance with the following
equations:
Tension and Shear stress FSd ≤ FRd
Bending MSd ≤ 𝑀Rd
FSd MSd
Bending and Tension + ≤ 1.0

The anchor may only be used as a standard produced anchorage unit. It is also allowed to use a
separately delivered hexagon screw and a corresponding washer according to chapter 3.4.
The installation of the anchor is to be done in accordance with the constructional drawings following
section 3.1 and the installation guide of the company. Prior to setting the anchor, the exact position
of the stressing tendons must be determined using a suitable metal detecting device, and the posi-
tion must be marked on the underside of the ceiling. If the anchor is not set centred in the cavity axis,
the minimum spacing between the anchor axis and the axis of the tensioning strands must be at
least 50 mm (cf. Annex 6).

5 Restrietions on use
The foregoing assessment of the FUS channel as weil as the suspension cantilever arm FCA excludes
their use for cable systems with integrated functional integrity and electric conduits acc. to
Dl N 41 02-12: 1998-11 . Further assessments and proofs are needed with respect to the overall system for
such applications.
The junctions/intersections must be designed in the manner shown in the test report. ln particular, HK 41
channel washer of at least size M1 0 have to be used on both sides with corresponding nuts (strength
class ~ 8) if suspended with threaded rods (at least M1 0, strength class ~ 4.8). The FUS channel should
be arranged in this case so that the connectors FCN Clix P are only used in the channel profiles that are
open at the top. The connectors FCN Clix P are locked with channel washers HK 41 and MU threaded
nuts in this setup and may only be used to support Ioads.
The directly mounted FUS channel should be arranged so that the connectors FCN Clix P are only used
in the channel profiles that are open at the bottom. The connectors FCN Clix P are locked with channel
washers HK 41 and MU threaded nuts in this setup.
ln the case of a suspension with FUS 41 /2.5, the FUS channels aretobe arranged so that the connectors
FCN Clix P are only used in the channel profiles that are open at the top and side. The connectors
FCN Cl ix P are locked with the UWS angles and SKS hexagon bolts in this setup.
lf pipe clamps or other installations are mounted below the channel they should be fastened by fiseher
channel washers arranged on both sides as weil as the corresponding nuts and threaded rods of the
desired fire-resistance period .
lf the FUS channels are used in the intermediate ceiling area of suspended counter ceiling constructions
that are relevant with respect to fire protection, a minimum gap "a" is defined on the safe side between
the upper side of the suspended ceiling and the lower side of the channels. The goal is to rule out any
negative influence of the counter ceiling construction due to temperature-related vertical deformations of
the channels as weil as the linear changes of the threaded rods.
lt is assumed that the maximum protrusion of the nuts and threaded rods below the channels is less than
30 mm. lt also has to be ensured that both the channels as weil as the suspension cantilever arms
protrude at least 50 mm from the central axis of the vertical fastening to the lateral edge of the channel.

The minimum gaps "min a" are shown in Table 2. The values shown here take into account the
temperature-related change in length of the threaded rods used for suspension purposes as weil as the
maximum vertical deformations as a function of the span of the channels, the type of suspension and the
arrangement of the Ioad.
The minimum gaps "min a" quoted here to components below this that are relevant for fire protection
correspond to the maximum safety gaps assuming that the maximum permissible Ioads under exposure
to fire corresponding to Table 1 act on the system.
Since the useful height in the intermediate ceiling area in practice is often limited, the aforementioned
maximum safety gaps may not always be able to be realised. For this reason, reduced Ioads are
determined for the systems to be assessed which guarantee that with an exposure to fire acc. to the
standard temperature-time curve for 30 minutes, the minimum gap "min a" =50 mm is not exceeded.
Table 2 Minimum gaps "min a" when the channels are used in the intermediate ceiling area of counter

The minimum gap "min a" refers to the deformations of the overall construction consisting of channel and
suspension under exposure to fire. Additional deformations, e.g. from the installations (e.g. pipes) have to
be investigated separately.
The specified Ioad refers to a central and/or symmetrical arrangement of the Ioads. lf this is not possible
in practice the Ioads have to be reduced so that the maximum steel stresses are not exceeded in the
threaded rods.
The Ioads quoted in Tables 1 and 2 are summations of all single Ioads. This overall Ioad may not be
exceeded with a simultaneaus support and suspension at one point where the Ioad is introduced.
6 Special notes
The foregoing assessment only applies for the tested FUS channel of galvanised steel that have been
installed in accordance with the mounting instructions in the technical data sheets of the firm of
fischerwerke GmbH & Co. KG and taking into account the design of the junctions/intersections specified
in the test report.
On account of the better high-temperature behaviour of stainless steel, the figures also apply for FUS
channels and cantilever arms FCA with the same dimensions of stainless steel A2/A4.
The type of galvanisation has no effect on the fire resistance. This is why the figures also apply for FUS
channels and suspension cantilever arms FCA of hot-dip galvanised steel, provided the dimensions of the
channels are identical to those of the tested channels.
The assessment only applies in conjunction with the described components and in components that can
be classified in at least the fire-resistance class corresponding to the fire-resistance period of the channel
constructions.
The channel systems may only be used to fasten Installations (e.g. pipes) under a predominantly static
Ioad.
The channels have to be fastened to ceiling or wall constructions with fastenersthat have corresponding
fire protection verification. lf connecting to solid structural components it has tobe ensured that any Ioads
occurring during a fire can be absorbed. \

Load-deformation curve for the combination FUS 62/2.5 - GS- EL with a static span of 1,000 mm

During the test with this construction there was a sudden streng increase in the deformation. This led to a
failure of the deformation measuring device. Accordingly, there are no test results to plot a Ioad-
deformation curve. However, all of the tested constructions displayed deformations greater than 50 mm
irrespective of the Ioad after 30 minutes exposure to fire. -
