This scale used by the researchers aim to know the beneficial level of the benefits gained from
enrolling in Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization for the ABM11-AM students of the Senior High
School Department of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.

Based on the data gathered, 73% or twenty-four (24) of the respondents answered STRONGLY
AGREE, 21% or seven (7) respondents for AGREE, and lastly 6% or two (respondents) answered NEUTRAL.

As a matter of fact, the additional subjects being referred to by the questionnaire are Fundamentals
of Accounting 1 and Principles of Marketing which are already taken up by these AM students for the 1 st
semester. This only shows how majority of the Grade 11 students with an Accounting and Merchandising
Specialization have responded that they strongly agree with the fact that the additional subjects which are
provided by the specialization were able to help them in gaining additional knowledge.

2. I was able to practice on-hand creating journals, ledgers, and worksheets in accounting.
According to the given data, 73% or twenty-four (24) of the respondents answered STRONGLY
AGREE, 21% or seven (7) respondents for AGREE, and lastly 6% or two (respondents) answered NEUTRAL.

Meaning, 73% of the Grade 11 AM students strongly agree that they became more knowledgeable
on accounting as they were able to practice on-hand creating journals, ledgers, and worksheets. Wherein
they learned it step-by-step by following a process called the accounting cycle. These journals, ledgers, and
worksheets are also part of their written works which allow them to fully understand on how to create one.

3. I learned how to do integrated accounting.

According to the given data, 39% or thirteen (13) of the respondents answered STRONGLY AGREE,
30% or ten (10) respondents for AGREE, 18% or six (6) respondents for NEUTRAL and lastly 12% or four
(4) respondents answered DISAGREE.

Meaning, 39% of the Grade 11 students of ABM strongly agree that they have learned how to do
integrated accounting as they were able to input their account titles to the computer which results for them
to get the total accounts if the company easily. They learned where they can see the needed values asked.

4. I learned how to advertise products.

According to the given data, 39% or thirteen (13) of the respondents answered STRONGLY AGREE,
39% or thirteen (13) respondents for AGREE, 18% or six (6) respondents for NEUTRAL and lastly 3% or one
(1) respondent answered DISAGREE.

Meaning, 39% of the Grade 11 students of ABM strongly agree that they learned how to advertise
products. Advertising products helps the students to be more competitive when it comes to dealing with the
competent product. They learned how to properly connect with their targeted customers. Then recognize the
customer’s needs and wants.

7. I fully understood the ethics and concepts in our accounting subject.


In the gathered data 64% or 21 out of the 33 respondents have strongly agreed that they fully
understand the ethics and concept in accounting, 24% or 8 have agreed, while 3% or 1 chose to be in the
neutral side.

In an Accounting and Merchandising Specialization, a student will learn much further knowledge than
the average plain Accounting, Business, and Management student. In an AM specialization you are being
taught each and every detail to cope up with the lesson while no specialization you just learn the highlights
of the subject.

8. I was able to develop my evaluation skills on how to analyze problems and how I can solve a specific
problem.
For the data gathered 67% or 22 respondents have strongly agreed that they have develop evaluation
skills on how we can analyze and solve a problem, while 33% or 11 respondents agreed, and 12% or 4
respondents played neutral.

Learning from this question, 67% or 22 respondents who are currently enrolled in an Accounting and
Merchandising specialization have develop their analyzing and solving skills, which can help them for their
day to day activities.

9. I learn how to communicate well with my future customers and know what are their needs and
wants.
This scale used by the researchers aim to know the beneficial level of the benefits gained from
enrolling in Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization for the ABM11-AM students of the Senior High
School Department of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.

Based on the data gathered, the 55% or eighteen (18) of the respondents answered STRONGLY
AGREE, 33% or eleven (11) respondents for AGREE and lastly 12% or four (4) of the respondents answered
NEUTRAL.

In this part of the data gathering we can see that the Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization
serves as a big tool for the students to enhance their communication skills and and ability to perform the
task given because it serves as a practice bench for the student for their future jobs.

10. I was able to know and develop myself to have confidence when having a communication with
other people.
This scale used by the researchers aim to know the beneficial level of the benefits gained from
enrolling in Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization for the ABM11-AM students of the Senior High
School Department of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.

Based on the data gathered, the 48% or sixteen (16) of the respondents answered STRONGLY
AGREE, 36% or twelve (12) respondents for AGREE, 12% or four (4) of the respondents answered NEUTRAL
and lastly 3% or one (1) for DISAGREE

Based on the data gathered, most of the respondents said that the Accountancy and Merchandising
Specialization helps them to enhance and develop their selves in communication skills.

School Department of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.

Based on the data gathered, 73% or twenty-four (24) of the respondents answered STRONGLY
AGREE, 21% or seven (7) respondents for AGREE, and lastly 6% or two (respondents) answered NEUTRAL.

As a matter of fact, the additional subjects being referred to by the questionnaire are Fundamentals
of Accounting 1 and Principles of Marketing which are already taken up by these AM students last school year
1st semester. This only shows how almost all the Grade 12 AM students with an Accounting and Merchandising
Specialization strongly agree that these two additional subjects which are Accounting and Marketing help
them in gaining additional and advance knowledge for their chosen college course.

2. I was able to practice on-hand creating journals, ledgers, and worksheets in accounting.

The answer that got the highest percentage is STRONGLY AGREE from the nine (9) or 45% of the
respondents. While on the other hand, the answer AGREE have 35% of the respondents and the lowest which
is NEUTRAL which only got 15% responses out of the 20 respondents of ABMAM-12A section.
This data only proves that with the help of enrolling in a specialization, they were able to learn and
practice on-hand the basic and one of the most important aspects in accounting which is creating journals,
ledgers, and worksheets based on the process known as the Accounting cycle. As a matter of fact, these
written works are part of the additional subject which is Fundamentals of Accounting 1.

3. I learned how to do integrated accounting.

As observed by the researchers, 55% or eleven (11) of the respondents answered STRONGLY
AGREE, 35% or seven (7) respondents for AGREE, 5% or one (1) respondent for both NEUTRAL and
DISAGREE.

This data summarizes that Grade 12 students from ABM proves that with the help of enrolling in a
specialization, they were able to learned how to do integrated accounting and how it would help them to
recognize or analyze what account titles should be putted. They were also able to know if they have inputted
a wrong data because integrated accounting have checking with every exercise they are doing.

4. I learned how to advertise products.

As observed by the researchers, 20% or four (4) of the respondents answered STRONGLY AGREE,
50% or ten (10) respondents for AGREE, 20% or four (4) respondent for NEUTRAL and lastly, 10% or two
(2) respondents answered DISAGREE.
This data summarizes that only four students of Grade 12 ABM strongly agree that they learned
how to advertise products. They were able to recognize who are their targeted customers and how they will
be able to advertise their product properly for the beneficial of a customer. The proper way of advertising a
product, they must know the needs and wants of a customer and with that they can know what product
should be produced.

7. I fully understood the ethics and concepts in our accounting subject.
In the gathered data 20% or 4 out of 20 respondents have strongly agreed that they did fully
understood the ethics and concepts in their accounting subjects, 55% or 11 out of 20 have agreed to
understand the subject while 20% or 4 have selected to be in the middle.

This results maybe the effects how the professor teaches the students or maybe it’s the student on how he
or she can cope up with the subject. The subject maybe hard but through explanations and understanding
it’s a good specialization

8. I was able to develop my evaluation skills on how to analyze problems and how I can solve a
specific problem.

For the data gathered the results are 35% or 7 out of 20 respondents strongly agreed, 50% or 10
agreed, while 5% or 1 respondent chose to stay at the middle point.

The results maybe low since then analyzation is hard to develop but through accounting it could
be. In an accounting subject you will have exercises that includes analyzation which can help students to
improve their skills, and to be able to solve a specific problem.

9. I learn how to communicate well with my future customers and know what are their needs
and wants.

This scale used by the researchers aim to know the beneficial level of the benefits gained from
enrolling in Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization for the ABM11-AM students of the Senior High
School Department of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.

Based on the data gathered, the 25% or five (5) of the respondents answered STRONGLY AGREE,
40% or eight (8) respondents for AGREE, 30% or six (6) of the respondents answered NEUTRAL and lastly
5% or one (1) for DISAGREE

In this part of data gathering we can see that majority of the respondents say they are agree that
there is benefits gained from enrolling in Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization when it comes to
enhancing communication skills and ability to perform the task given.
10. I was able to know and develop myself to have confidence when having a communication
with other people.

This scale used by the researchers aim to know the beneficial level of the benefits gained from
enrolling in Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization for the ABM11-AM students of the Senior High
School Department of San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila.

Based on the data gathered, the 25% or five (5) of the respondents answered STRONGLY AGREE,
60% or twelve (12) respondents for AGREE, 10% or two (2) of the respondents answered NEUTRAL and
lastly 5% or one (1) for DISAGREE

Based on the data gathered, most of the respondents said that they don’t strongly agree that the
Accountancy and Merchandising Specialization helps them to enhance and develop their selves in
communication skills and boosting self-confidence.
