District Training Assembly 2018:

A Memorable Learning Experience of All Participants

On May 5, 2018 a huge function room in the lobby of Queen Margareth Hotel in Lucena
City converged all President Elects and their respective spouse’s, Secretary’s Elect and
dignitaries to attend the grandeous training program in preparation for their roles and
functions in the District 3820 Rotary Year 2018-2019. The activity was hosted by the Rotary
Club of Lucena College Junction Chaired by Assistant Governor Rosano Villanueva.

The dignitaries and participants were introduced by incoming District Secretary Vic
Cantos of Rotary Club of Downtown Batangas, who will be the incoming District Secretary for
Administration partnered by the incoming District Secretary for Events Emily Singson. After the
Inspirational message rendered by District Governor Maria Lewina Tolentino, the turnover of
proceedings of the District Training Assembly 2018 was received by Incoming District Governor
Jose “Boy” Garcia. Thereafter, Charter President Andaman Recio introduced the District
Governor Elect after which the latter explain the District Thrusts for Incoming Rotary Year 2018
– 2019. The District Trainer for this Rotary Year PDG, Rafael Tantouco Sr. gave the overview of
the District Training Assembly.

The Training Assembly has two plenary sessions highlighting the address of the
motivational speakers. On the first session, the motivational speaker was Mr. Reynaldo Recio, a
successful trainer who was introduced by District Deputy Governor PP Jenny Salud of RC San
Juan. The audience was very much delighted and inspired by the thought provoking speech of
Mr. Recio. The Vote of Thanks tendered by District Deputy Governor Japs Callos, while the
awarding of Token of Appreciation was given by PDG Rafael Tantouco Sr. and assisted by DGE
Jose Garcia and AG Rosano Villanueva.

On the second plenary session, the Inspirational Speaker was introduced by PDG
Reynaldo Castillo and was delivered by CP Bing Carreon, an Arch Klump Society Member. All
president elects and secretaries including the dignitaries were really motivated to perform their
roles, tasks and functions in their respective Clubs through the enthusiasm inculcated by the
well applauded Inspirational Speaker CP Bing Carreon. Then the Vote of Thanks was given by
PDG Dennis Sunio of RC Pagsanjan. The Token of Appreciation for the Inspirational Speaker was
tendered by the same people on the first plenary session.
 The District Announcements on the different activities, programs and projects for RY
2018 – 2019 were delivered clearly by Incoming District Secretary for Administration Vicente
Cantos. Before the end of the day, the committee reporting was explained properly by
incoming District Secretary for Finance William Delloro Jr.

The Closing Ceremonies on the evening was highlighted by a well known motivational
speaker Michael Angelo after the introduction tendered by PDG Mariquit Reventar. As a
tradition the Vote of Thanks was read by PDG Danilo Ona. After the dinner a surprised number
was rendered by the host club.

The Master of Ceremonies who gave more inspirations to the participating members are
PAG Anna Andaman – Villanueva and PN Martin Derek Peteza.

The District Training Assembly is considered a memorable event for RI District 3820
more particularly the President Elects, Secretary Elects and Dignitaries who were mostly Past
District Governors of the entire RI District 3820.
