Prepare strategic communication plan incorporating UN-Division of Ocean Affairs & Law of the Sea
(DOALOS) key stakeholders and state parties concerning ocean affairs
Work with supervisor to formulate community relations based communication plan for UN-DOALOS -
Nippon Fellowship program.
Set up effective media relations plan with goal/strategies/tactics for maximum visibility of DOALOS
Help track and monitor media coverage of ocean affairs and help build database and circulation.
Support the social media focal point person, design social media content based communication campaigns
for regular process
Assist in editing of documents, newsletter, preparing press release, pitch memos, or any other
reports/letters for the media, if necessary.
Draft public information materials, including press releases, media advisories, web stories, information
notes and fact sheets, social media campaigns;
Research, compile, draft and edit basic information for use in the preparation and production of public
information materials, including social media content, website content, and public information campaign
proposals.
Monitor current events and other news related to ocean issues;
Analyze the effectiveness of the division’s media relations activities
Manage meeting agendas and draft meeting notes;
Participate in organizing and setting up for special events
Take on other special projects and collaborate with other colleagues as assigned.

door within the premise of ICRC’s Nepal office in Kathmandu)
Translated Geneva Convention document from English into Nepali language.
