How to Install PeopleTools client 8.54

1. About this document:

PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.54 is developed using Microsoft Visual C++ 2005. Microsoft, as part of VC++
2005, changed the way applications use and ship the required C Run Time (CRT) files (these files are
installed as shared assemblies).

2. Prerequisites:

PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.54 programs require these files to be present or the programs will not run:

1. Oracle Client Windows 64 (How to install Oracle Client.doc)

3. How to install PeopleTools client 8.54:

3.1. Install the PeopleTools client:

The next step is to install the PeopleTools client. Please note that you should have completed the Oracle
Client installation prior to installing the PeopleTools client.

The PeopleTools Installation will install shortcuts on your desktop and populate the configuration
manager with the appropriate settings. PeopleTools shortcuts can be found in Start > Programs >
PeopleTools Client 8.542

1. Copy the the PT8.54.zip file from \\ubisoft.org\world\ISA\Public\PeopleTools8.54

Workstation on your local computer and unzip directly in the D:\ drive.
2. Go to D:\PT8.54\setup\psvccrt and run psvccrt_retail_x64.msi
3. Go to D:\PT8.54\bin\client\winx86 folder and double-click on the pscfg.exe file. The following
window appears. Please check what you see in the image below and click on the <Apply>
button:

Import the file name pscfd.txt from PT8.54 folder:

Check the following box’s and then click <Apply> button:
3. If the shortcuts are not created automatically, make sure to create them:
Go to the following folder: D:\PT8.54\bin \client\winx86.
Create shortcuts for the 2 following files;

 psdmt.exe(Data mover)
 pside.exe(Application designer)
4. You should now be ready to login to the PeopleSoft Application Designer:
