Keyboard Class is offered to students in 5th Grade. There is

only availability for 12 students in the Keyboard Class. If
there are more than 12 students who sign up, then students
will be selected to join the class based on their scores from a
written Music Theory test, covering information they have
learned in Music Class, and by showing responsibility. If
selected, students will need to purchase a lesson workbook
which can be found on Amazon for $11.55:

Alfred’s Adult All-In-One Course (Level 1)

Learning to play the Keyboard will be a fun, terrific

opportunity for the students and I encourage all to sign up
by reading the information below and completing the back
side of this form. No prior knowledge of playing the piano is
necessary to join this class!

SCHEDULE
Students should report to the Music Room on 2:50-3:15 p.m.
these days, each week, in order to participate in Monday: Group Instruction
Keyboard Class. Students should be picked up at Tuesday: Small Groups/Practice
the front of the school at 3:15 p.m. There will be Wednesday: Small Groups/Practice
no Keyboard Class on Early Release Days. Thursday: Practice/Pedagogy

ATTENDANCE
· Students may have no more than 4 absences from Keyboard Class each month.
· If a student is more than 5 minutes late to class they will be marked Tardy which is
counted as half an absence.
· If a student misses more than 10 minutes of class they will be marked Absent
· Any questions about attendance should be directed to Ms. Moser, who reserves the righ
to make final decisions.
· Students will be removed from the program if they are unable to adhere to these
guidelines.

The student listed below has permission to join the Keyboard Class and I understand what is expected
from met, the parent and the student, in making the experience successful. I understand that only 12
students may be selected and will be based on the highest test scores and students who demonstrate
responsibility. I also understand that if my child is selected, I will need to purchase their Lesson Book
and it must be brought to class no later than Thursday, September 13th.

RECITAL
A recital will be held for students who participated in
Keyboard Class toward the end of the school year with
the date TBA. Students should be dressed in their
‘Concert Best’ (Something dressy that is school
appropriate)

Girls: Dress, Skirt, Blouse, Dress Pants/Capris, Dress

Shoes
Boys: Dress Slacks, Collared Shirt, Dress Shoes
