RE: Florida Bar File No. 2019-10,070 (20A)
Dear Mr. Wise,
This letter serves as my response to Richard J. Montecalvo’s frivolous bar complaint from earlier
this month, He abuses the Florida Bar Rules to score cheap political points ina political campaign.
Montecalvo spends most of his time, on the taxpayer’s dime, campaigning for my opponent in the
Republican primary for State Attorney. Montecalvo currently serves as an Assistant State
Attorney for the 20" Judicial Circuit, where he serves as a special assistant to my primary
opponent. He is openly hostile to my candidacy and attempts to use the Florida Bar Rules to score
cheap political points, Montecalvo’s frivolous complaint is unbecoming of a member of the
Florida Bar and itself a violation of the Florida Bar Rules.
Richard J. Montecalvo clearly has a problem with the truth. The Palestine Liberation Organization
is a documented terrorist organization. My Republican primary opponent, Amria D. Fox, uncle
Sidgi twice served on the Executive Board of this terrorist organization. My opponent's father,
Taher Dajani, wrote a radical pro-PLO book, “From Palestine to America.” Taher Dajani
dedicated this book to his daughter, Amira D. Fox.
‘My campaign has taken issue with Amira D. Fox's close ties with the PLO, as well as her refusal
to denounce the radical anti-Jewish claims in the book, “From Palestine to America.” It should be
noted the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) is not a race, ethnicity, nor religion, but a
Jong-known terrorist organization with the political aim of the destruction of the State of Israel.
Nowhere in Montecalvo’s complaint does it factually show that I disparaged anyone’s race,
religion or ethnicity.Recently endorsed by famous political consultant and Presidential advisor Roger Stone. Proud to
have Roger Stone’s support, friendship and endorsement. Stone made some comments online
about my opponent. That is not a violation of any Florida Bar Rule, but it is an exereise in free
speech. The Florida Bar serves as a defender of the Constitution and the First Amendment. Would
ask the Florida Bar to continue to this practice and stand behind Rogers Stone's free exercise of
his First Amendment rights,
My hope is that the bar will
Respectfully;
Any
