Context: Additional NPO efforts (Demanding for EMF Compliance report) - The Customer was responsible for the
EMF but at the last moment this is the NSN scope as per customer;
Infra Issue - RFI pending due to Infra issue;
HW/Infra alarms - HW /Infra alarms effects all departments including NPO, Acceptance Teams, Rollout
etc;
Missing/Wrong license - Missing/ Wrong licenses, which are mandatory for operation, It is clearly mention
which LK’s are required and mention in PO with correct Nomenclature;
Contract and claim management - Customer claims related to PAC conditions. NSN had NCC due to
transmission & Infra issues (Customer responsibility) which were never claimed;
Cost Improvement Plan - EUR savings towards the initial calculation requested;
Ordering for Commissioning Spares - Due to shortage of commissioning spare to challenge Rollout target
meet;
Delay in Materials dispatched on Sites - Vendor Team is waiting on sites due to not deliver the materials;
Additional effort done (Extra WTR) - MGW relocation was done from Nagpur to Pune and Parented with
MSS Nagpur;
Additional effort done (Extra WTR) - NSN was no where kept in loop for calculating such usage which
might come during relocation activity. also the node was powered off without informing to NSN. The
powered off procedure used by the customer was not as per the NSN standards and the same was
communicated;

Description: 2G BTS Implemention,RNC,MSS,MGW,OSS implementation

Impact: - A challenge to reach the target KPI’s since the network performance mainly depends on Network
Design & Tune the Networks. Frequent involvement of NSN NPO engineers in the Network planning (NCC
as not in scope);
        - Rollout delayed and additional effort & Cost as NCC. (Site visit again & again);
        - Project delays due to HW/Infra alarms;
        - Rollout delay and additional effort and cost ( as NCC);
        - PAC delayed for months. NCC due to transmission issues and Infra issue;

        - Project delays due to shortage of commissioning spare;
        - Project delay due to materials not delivery on time at site;
        - Project delays due to relocation activity;
        - Project Delay due to solution issue;

Action Taken: - Subcon contracts are reviewed & % reduction is placed with Procurement;
        - Back to back agreement is done with subcons. Performance of subcon is reviewed on a monthly
base. Low performers is removed out projects. Need to more PTID engineers in Subcon team;
        - All extra works are registered & closely follow ed during execution then claimed to Customer (around
………… €);
        - Resource reviews are performed monthly to ramp up or down according to the roll out need;

Lesson Identified: - It should be checked before the contract signed off;


        - Required Better Understanding between Customer and Account Manager;
        - Suggested to customer first clear the site then offer for RFI to NSN;
        - RCA recommendations;
        - A temporary monitoring (OMC handle the HW Problems faster (before customer reaction);
        - Application for Licenses to be submitted in time and should have similar Product Nomenclature as in
PO;
        - Setup and agree with customers how claims will be handled;
        - Agree with customer on clear PAC criteria definition;
        - Ordering of Commissioning Spares along with Customer PO;
        - Materials delivery as per process;
        - Under Lesson learnt, it is required that prior to Redeployment and migration with other location MSS,
equipment needs to be tested in the Customer Environment with specific network parameters, not under
ideal conditions of the vendor lab;
