Creating an Outline for Scientific Research Introduction
Objectives:
INSTRUCTIONS:
Use this template to help you plan and organize your scientific research Introduction. It will help you avoid
ambiguity as you try to organize your paper in a logical manner. Please be sure to complete each part of the
outline.
Looking at your proposal and scientific journals, what topics will you cover in this outline? Arrange them in the logical
order you want they will go in.

NOTE: This section will ultimately become the first paragraph of your Introduction. Eventually, it will flow from one idea
to the other. Refer to the graphic organizer below to determine the contents and focus of this paragraph as you fill in the
blanks below.

Here you want something that makes an impact, stirs interest, or makes a connection with common life to draw in the
reader. Include also a set reasons for conducting your study.
