Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in applying for the Master of Social Science-
specialisation International and European relations.

In 2015, I graduated from the International Islamic University Chittagong, Bangladesh with a
four-year undergraduate degree in Law. In the undergraduate programme, I studied Common
Laws which enhance my knowledge and understanding of concepts, rules, theories of Law about
socio-economic, institutional, and historical frameworks. While I studied the legal components,
I am familiar with Bangladeshi and European legal system and theories and laws of international
conflicts over power, resources, and the process of the international system. I also studied
theories of international relation and understanding war and conflicts of international politics of
Europe, Russia, Africa, and the US along with their legal systems. In future, I will develop my
key skills in critical thinking, conceptual analysis of the range of approaches to international
politics and research about international conflicts and co-operation.

To pursue my future degree at Masters level, I have chosen the University of Linkoping because
the Institute of Social Science of this university ensures productive varied learning environment
as well as constructive research facilities. Besides, the University and the Social Science faculty
offer a wide range of additional academic and social activities. In Bangladesh, very few
universities offer International relation course in diploma level and do not cover the wide range
topics in international level.

Whereas, Linkoping University gives excellent working and recreation facilities for
postgraduate students which prove commitment to the graduate student body. The international
reputation of this department attracts such a variety of students, and I believe it will be a
stimulating environment in which to study at Masters level. On the other side, Sweden is modern,
highly developed society with liberal attitudes to individual lifestyle choices. This country also
has the highest living standard, clam, congenial and peaceful environment.

I am aware of the dedication and perseverance that is needed to achieve the best results in this
field, and I believe that my experience will allow me to get it.
