Lenders can mine Rs 15 trillion business
from digital lending to MSMEs over the
next five years: Survey

According to a study jointly conducted by BCG, Ficci and


IBA, currently, digital lending to MSMEs accounts for only 5
per cent of total lending to the sector and can increase to
21 per cent over the next five years.
SBI charges for non maintenance of
minimum balance unfair:Report

According to finance ministry data, SBI collected Rs


24.34 billion for the financial year 2017 in a penalty on non-
maintenance of minimum balance alone.The report also
said that the bank should reverse the penalties collected in
FY 17 for non-maintenance of minimum balance, in order to
"not get portrayed as exploitative for the past year..

Taiwan’s MediaTek are betting big on India’s internet
of things (IoT) market and working with various device
makers and telecom service providers to drive the IoT
ecosystem in India, focusing especially on the narrow-
band IoT (NB-IoT) segment.

BENGALURU: MarutiNSE 0.43 % Suzuki on Monday


launched the new Ciaz with an aim to wrest back the
No.1 spot in the country’s mid-size sedan
segment. Taking the price-value equation to the next
level, the company priced the new car aggressively at
Rs 8.19-10.97 lakh exshowroom pan-India. The new
Ciaz is cheaper by Rs 50,000-2.5 lakh to the Honda City
and Rs 1-2 lakh to the Hyundai Verna.

Global alliance to create 50 mn job,
10 mn entrepreneurs in India by
2030

A group of Indian and international partners on Tuesday


announced the formation of a coalition that aims to catalyse a
mass entrepreneurship movement in India with the aim of
creating 10 million new entrepreneurs and 50 million new jobs by
2030. The coalition, called Global Alliance
Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), has received initial funding
commitment of Rs 1 billion over three years from several Indian
and global donors, a statement from GAME said.
