LETTER OF MOTIVATION

To whomsoever it may concern,

I am Prateek Jain, a 21 year old new student from India and I am writing this application to
request the pre-booked accommodation for myself during my M1 studies at Paris School of
Economics for the year 2018-2019.

Being awarded the chance to study at Paris School of Economics is an incredible opportunity that
I want to seize wholeheartedly without any reservation. Coming from a middle class family in
India, the accommodation at Maison des Provinces de France of the CIUP, is acting like a life
saviour.

This being near to campus saves me time and money to be more productive for my studies. Since
I am leaving my country first time for any long term stay , and I do not have ant relative staying in
France, I am requesting for my application to be considered for your perusal, to make my
transition to France, smoother. I shall be able to focus on my studies and learn and adept to new
cultural environment quickly, which is of paramount importance for my successful completion of
the masters program and continue to study at France for my research work, which is my long
term aim.

I know the importance of saving travel time from my experience during my 11 th and 12th
standard. During my 12th standard by changing my tuition centre, I was able to save daily
commute of 2 hours which helped me improve my score by 7.5% from 11 th to 12th. I have been
an excellent student and have keen desire to excel both in academic and cultural fit in France, I
urge you allocate me an accommodation in on priority. I can assure you this will go in long way to
control my emotions (being first time outside country) & achieve my goals by having better
commitment and focus on core activities required for my masters.

Being from middle class family from India and having a younger brother with no scholarship
awarded, I need to really optimize my expenses and time and have best results for my university
and my program. For that, I need the accommodation at Maison des Provinces de France of the
CIUP on priority. I shall be highly obliged for the same. I can assure you that as I settle in first
year, I shall be looking for other accommodation option from year 2, allowing university to help
new students like me in next year.

Another reason, I wish to apply for the accommodation at Maison des Provinces de France of the
CIUP is the environment that the accommodation offers. It offers an environment with global
students as the residents. This offers me not only an environment which is better for education
but would also help me make contacts and socialize with the generation that is going to be the
flag-bearer of change in the upcoming times among the various diversities of the world.

Regarding financial statement, here is available funds with me and my parents to cover the cost
of expenses for my first year of the program.
