The goals of Painting 2 are to use these skills to create space and form, to use color thoughtfully, and convey meaning with your art. Acrylic paint will also be introduced at the end of the quarter. Our Art History focus will be on Impressionism and Post-Impressionism from the late 1800s.
What you already know... Materials needed DAILY:
● essential paint vocabulary ● A pencil & eraser ● using tempera & watercolor paints ● Your sketchbook ● color mixing ● An apron/ clothes OK to get messy ● color schemes ● A positive attitude
In this class you will... Assignments
& Grading: ● Use art knowledge & personal experiences to make art Grades are averaged using SCHOOL-WIDE ● ● Prepare your art for display WEIGHTS. ● Convey meaning through your art ● Interpret & evaluate art ●About every 2 weeks, we will begin a new ● Practice giving constructive project. You are responsible for making sure all your work is turned in! Work that is more than criticism 1 week late loses a letter grade. ● Use and know the difference between tempera, watercolor, & ●Daily warm-ups will be averaged at mid-terms acrylic paints and finals for two 100 point grades.
