-Piplod is a popular market area in Surat city and famous for Gaurav path.
-Today Piplod is one of the best developed area in Surat.
- It is home to the upper middle class of the city's residents.
-It has a very famous beach nearby called dumas which is also popular family
spot

Location : S.V.N.I.T. Circle

This is the most dense area . traffic problems usually careates major problem in this area
especially during evening and Sundays.

The most famous business hub in area with varieties of restaurants and shopping centers .

ACCESSIBILITY

1) There are a lot of potholes during monsoon which causes lot of accidents.
2) Easily accessible by public transport.
3) Airport is accessible by public transport from Piplod.

RESOURCE NETWORK

1) Very responsive staff and least problems compared to other areas.


2) Pipelines are frequently under maintenance and people are ignorant
towards saving water.
3) It is available 24*7.

COMMUNICATION CHANNEL

1) Networks are not available in most of the areas and full tower in some
areas.

WASTE DISPOSAL

1) Proper system but also causes environmental issues.


2) It is regularly maintained in majority of areas but bad service in some
areas.
3) The dump yards are not maintained properly and corporation staff is
not regular.

1) There is no proper parking space available and it causes a lot of traffic.


2) There are enough number of offices available.

1) Mixed quality of houses are available. Some are highly facilitated while
some struggle.
2) There are enough clinics and proper schools available in the area.

-Water connection is good in some areas but the poor quality of supply in many
places.

-Less problems of electricity.

-Roads are good enough and wide.

-The sewerage spreads a lot of foul smell.

-The public spaces are maintained, but ther is problem of traffic in many public
places.

Chart 5.1:- In Piplod area most of building have constructed as per Surat city by laws the ratio of building
height as per by laws are 50-50. So the increase of height take consequence like building tends to fall on
head, more chaotic.

used for sitting space, parking space is constructed on the ground level due to which parking gets
resolved and people are not happy with plinth providing due to streets gets congested.
