Call for IPSF-EMRO Regional Working Group Subcommittees

for the mandate 2018-19


IPSF-EMRO is calling for interested individuals to run for positions in the IPSF-EMRO Regional
Working Group (RWG) Subcommittees 2018-19.

Subcommittee members work under the EMRO Regional Working Group and their work
is more specific to certain tasks. These positions require little or no travelling although
it is preferable to attend the 8th EMPS, the 65th IPSF World Congress and your
subcommittee meeting if one is scheduled. You should be able to work on a daily basis
throughout the year in your position and have regular internet access; you must be
reachable throughout your entire Term.

Please note that for some positions you may be required to attend a Skype interview.

1- Regional Secretary Subcommittee:

This subcommittee works under the regional Secretary of IPSF EMRO. Their tasks are to
help writing the minutes of the different EMRO subcommittees, CPs and SEOs meetings
and the Regional Assembly minutes. They are also incharge of assisting the Secretary in
organizing EMRO archives. Candidates are required to be: -

- Be fluent in English
- Have a good knowledge of IPSF official documents.
- Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and google tools.
- Have good communication and time management skills-

It is advantageous to have past experience as a Secretary. Time commitment to this


position ranges from 5-7 hours per week. For more information, please contact

2- Regional Projects Subcommittee:

This subcommittee works under the Regional Projects Officer (RPO) of IPSF EMRO.
Their tasks are to assist the RPO in coordinating the implementation of IPSF projects
within the Eastern Mediterranean region and to ensure that these projects are being
conducted successfully. The regional projects subcommittee consists of 3 regional
coordinators which are Public health, Professional development and Pharmacy
Education coordinators.

A - Regional Public Health Coordinator: will be working with the RPO to plan and develop
Public Health Projects and to ensure that these projects are successfully implemented
within EMRO.

B -Regional Professional Development Coordinator: will be working with the RPO to


implement professional development projects (ie : Clinical skills event, Patient
counselling event, Compounding event…).

C -Regional Pharmacy Education Coordinator: will be working with the RPO to develop and
implement Pharmacy Education projects including the collection of scientific and
educational articles, educational events, promote internships and provide updates on
pharmacy related issues within the Eastern Mediterranean region. All coordinators are
required to:

- Have a good level of English


- Have good communication skills.
- Be flexible with the time.
- Have good knowledge on IPSF EMRO projects in each portfolio.
- It is advantageous to have past experience in Public health ,Professional
Development or Pharmacy Education depending on the position you are applying
for.
- Time commitment for these positions is about 7 hours per week.

3- Regional Relations Subcommittee:

This subcommittee works under the Regional Relations Officer (RRO) of IPSF EMRO.
Their tasks are:
Internal:
• Assist the RRO in promoting IPSF and the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office
to non-member countries as well as maintaining current relationships with
member organizations through regular contact with the Contact Persons (CPs)
External:
• Help in developing relations with partners, expanding our partnerships and
looking for potential sponsorships for IPSF EMRO.
This subcommittee shall consist of two (02) coordinator: Regional Membership
Promotion Coordinator and Regional Corporate Relations Coordinator. In addition to
what was stated above, their duties are the following:
A- Regional Membership Promotion Coordinator:
• To update regional database, master list and work on collecting accurate
information that might be insightful to the membership promotion plan.
• To prepare and partake with leading capacity as instructed by the Regional
Relations Officer, in communication, meetings and correspondence with
potential members.

B- Regional Corporate Relations Coordinator:


• To update regional database, master lists and work on collecting accurate
information that might be insightful to the search for sponsor for regional
activities.
• To prepare and partake with leading capacity as instructed by the Regional
Relations Officer, in communication, meetings and correspondence with
potential partners.

Candidates are required to:


• Be fluent in written and spoken English, and/or other IPSF official languages
spoken in the region.
• Have good communication and persuasive skills.
• Have a basic knowledge of IPSF policy and activities.
• Have a basic knowledge of IPSF official documents.
• Have experience in fundraising or public relations.
• Have a good knowledge of IPSF EMRO activities; mainly its focus projects.

Preferably to have international relations, e.g.: volunteering or internship experience in


NGOs or international corporates. It is advantageous to have past experience as CP, SEO
or in External Relations. Time commitment to this position ranges from 5-7 hours per
week.

4- Regional Media and Publications Subcommittee:


This subcommittee will work under the Regional Media and Publications Officer (RMPO)
of IPSF EMRO. It consists of 2 teams which are “Identity and innovation team” and
“Marketing and follow up team”.
Candidates for this subcommittee are generally required to:
• Have good communication and time management skills.
• Be creative and innovative.
• Have the passion to learn and improve their skills.
A- Identity and innovation team : (Designing , Video production , voice over)
will be working with the RMPO to develop the identity of IPSFEMRO and keep it
maintained . They will also assist in creating online and offline designs and
directing motion graphics videos as well as create voice tune for EMRO intro and
outro. Candidates for this team are required to :
• Have experience in designing, video production or voice over.
• Be working at least on one professional program related to their skills.

B- Marketing and follow up team : (Social media editors) will be working with the
RMPO to improve the activity and engagement of EMRO social media pages by
the activation of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube accounts. They will
also assist in managing IPSF EMRO website and keep it updated and be
responsible of following IPSF EMRO associations‟ social media pages.
Candidates for this team are required to:
• Have good knowledge of social media and have experience in social media
editing and management.
• Have basic knowledge of Marketing techniques.
• Be online for at least one hour daily.
• Time commitment for this position ranges from 5-7 hours per week. For more
