TOWARDS LEARNING
ENGLISH:
A CASE STUDY

The study probed into the
prevailing attitudes of students
towards learning the English
language, taking into account their
personal experiences on the
subject.
Research Designs
QUALITATIVE METHODS
(in-depth, open ended, semi-structured
interviews)
SAMPLES
(students who are taking or had taken
English subjects)
SETTING AND PARTICIPANTS
(Chosen University- Oldest Technical
Trade School in Far East)
PROCEDURE
(45-90minutes of informal interview
inside the classroom)
DATA ANALYSIS
(Answers were categorized into two
main classifications: Positive and Negative
Attitudes towards language and the
persons using the language)
CONCLUSIONS
As a general result, the respondents
want to study English and have positive
attitude on it because they want to
communicate better and to show others
that they are educated and also signify
success in profession and in the society.
Possible problem to be studied based on
this study:
