AIR POLLUTION.

Air pollution tends to be an environmental problem that has been

exacerbated over the years and has multiple causes; product of the
industrial life of the whole planet.

The toxic fog that floats above the cities is the most common and
evident form of air pollution. However, there are different types of
pollution, visible and invisible, that contribute to global warming. It is
generally considered air pollution to any substance, introduced into the
atmosphere by people, that has a detrimental effect on living beings and
the environment.

The carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, is the pollutant that is causing to

a greater extent the warming of the Earth. While all living beings emit
carbon dioxide to breathe, it is generally considered to be pollutant
when associated with cars, airplanes, electrical power stations and other
human activities that require the use of fossil fuels such as gasoline and
natural gas.

The gaseous pollutants are elements that concentrates in high amounts

in the atmosphere generated risks and environmental problems and to
living beings. A part of the mechanisms of generation of these gaseous
pollutants are of natural origin such as the volcanoes, but the problem
arises in the industrial processes that involve combustion of elements
fuels or the excessive use of road transport among others.

machines)

-carbon monoxide (CO)
-carbon dioxide (CO2)
-oxides of nitrogen (NOX)
-Sulphur dioxide (SO2)
-Methane (CH4)
-Ozone (O3)
 CONSEQUENCES:
ACID RAIN
