LEARNING OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, most pupils will be able to ask for attention of help from a teacher of a classmate by
M using suitable statements and questions.

C At the end of the lesson, some pupils will be able to listen and answer short supported questions.

1. Randomly show picture cards from the unit.


I. PRE-LESSON E.g. picture of a monster, whale, bedroom etc
2. Pupils name the pictures.
1. Explain the quiz activity. Make sure pupils know what to do.
2. Organise pupils into groups.
3. Ask the questions orally.
4. Pupils work in groups to discuss the answers before saying them.
5. Introduce and have pupils practise expressions for asking for attention when they know
the answer. e.g. I know the answer! Can I try, please? Can I guess, please?
6. Pupils may look back through the unit to check questions they did not know.
7. The group which gets the most correct answers is the winner.
II. LESSON DEVELOPMENT
8. If time, pupils do the same activity in groups.
9. Distribute question cards, answer cards and dices to groups.
10. Pupils roll the dice. Pupil with the biggest number takes one question card and read the
question.
11. The rest of the pupils discuss and answer the question.
12. Pupils refer to the answer card to check the answer.
13. Continue with all the question until there is none question cards left.
14. Monitor and help as and when necessary.
1. Briefly review the vocabulary in the unit.
2. Place the flashcards on the walls around the room.
III. POST LESSON
3. Say a word. Pupils point to the corresponding flashcard.
4. Divide pupils into groups. Pupils continue this activity in their groups.
