Ephesians 6:5-9
5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of
heart, just as you would obey Christ. 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when
their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. 7
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, 8 because you know
that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or
free.
9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you
know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favorit-
ism with him.
Mark 1:14-20
14 After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, pro-
and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they
were fishermen. 17 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will
make you fishers of men." 18 At once they left their nets and fol-
lowed him.
19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Ze-
John 1:35-42
35 The next day John was there again with two of his disciples.
36 When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!"
37 When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. 38 Turning around,
So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was
about the tenth hour.
40 Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said
and who had followed Jesus. 41 The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother
Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ). 42 And he
brought him to Jesus.
