50. The Council may appoint from among the Fellows of the Institute a Disciplinary Committee,
consisting of not less than seven members, for the purpose of investigating questions of
professionalmalpracticegenerally,andcasesofallegedmisconductofFellowsandAssociates
oftheInstitute.

51. TheDisciplinaryCommittee,shallinvestigateallcasesofallegedmisconductandprofessional
malpractices brought to its notice and shall submit its findings to the Council after giving
reasonable opportunity to the Fellow or Associate concerned to explain his / her case in
personorinwriting.

TheCouncilshallconsiderthereportoftheDisciplinarycommitteeandtakesuitableactionas
itmaydeemproperincludingexpulsionoftheFelloworAssociateconcerned.Thedecisionof
theCouncilshallbebyamajorityofnotlessthanthreeͲfourthofthememberspresentata
meetingconvened for the purpose and such decision shall be final, binding and shall not be
calledinquestion.

52. AFelloworanAssociateshallceasetobeaFelloworanAssociateifhe/she

i isadjudicatedinsolvent;

ii) ceasestobeamemberofanAssociatedInstitute;

iii) resignsandor;

iv) isexpelledaccordingtoRegulation51:

V) failstopaytheFellowshiporAssociateshipfeestotheinstitutewithinthreemonths
afterithasfallendueprovidedhowever,thathehadbeencalleduponinwritingtopay
thesame(unlessfurthertimeisgrantedbytheCouncil)

NamesofFellowsorAssociateswhoceasedtobeFellowsorAssociateseitherbydeathorby
theoperationoftheregulationsreferredtoaboveshallbepublishedinthejournalsofthe
Institute.

PersonwhoceasedtobeFellowandAssociateshallsurrendertheircertificateordiplomato
theInstitute.

53. AnypersonhavingceasedtobeaFelloworanAssociateunderregulation52aboveappliesfor
readmissionshallnotberequiredtopassanyexaminationoftheInstitute.Thecouncilmay
considersuchapplicationandmayreͲadmittheapplicanttotheoriginalclassastheCouncil
maythinkfit.
