information they are learning in a creative and interactive way.

2. Interactive notebooks are an easy way for student’s to take responsibility for their
Go own learning by creating their own notebook with class notes, assignments and
Worksheets! activities that increase their learning. (I use the grading rubric included in the
Spanish Set 1 Bundle for student expectations and grading.)
3. The interactive notebook is used to take class notes, complete interactive projects,
study for tests, and record game points.
This Spanish Interactive Notebook includes a variety of graphic activities that will allow
your students to have a visual connection with each concept. The concepts included are
basic concepts for the beginning Spanish student. Students will conjugate new verbs while learn-
ing to compare and contrast different kinds of verbs. All activities include pages that can be added
to an Interactive notebook and/or used as a print & go class activity.
After viewing this entire product, decide which pages you will use. Begin printing as needed.
Consider adding these verb conjugation sheets to the student’s notebooks. You can use a 3-ring
binder or spiral binder. The second page of each activity is an anchor chart. You may want to
consider laminating it for use as a classroom visual aid or using it as the back cover of your interac-
tive notebooks. Introduce your students to their interactive notebook through the cover, table of
contents and examples. Allow students to edit or fill out their individual pages while taking notes
during class. Consider showing the pictures of the completed project on your whiteboard, that are
included in this PDF, before giving the assignments. Students will then have an idea what their
final product could look like. I usually give a follow-up homework assignment to allow students to
finish up their notebooks at home. The bonus homework pocket that is in included in the Fall
Bundle is to help them not loose any loose papers from incomplete work or the instructions pages
that are given in class. I also allow them to use their notebooks for studying and on pop quizzes.
Games can be played in groups of two or larger. They are also great as a whole class activity! I
hope you enjoy these Spanish Interactive Notebook activities and have a wonderful year!

Instructions: Cut on dotted lines and fold on solid lines. Write in the new verbs you are learning in the
“Verb:s “ spaces. Then, use this cootie catcher to conjugate your new verbs! Say to a friend, “Pick a
number.” If your friend picks “dos” count out “uno, dos” while you open & close the cootie catcher.
Then , ask your friend to pick a pronoun (yo, tú, él, ella, Ud. , nosotros,, etc.)from your cootie catcher.
Lift up the flap they pick and tell them the verb underneath- can they conjugate it correctly? Can you?
Have fun!
Cootie Catcher game: Take turns with a friend playing this game. First ask them to “pick a number”. If
they pick “uno”, move the cutie catcher open one time. Then allow them to pick one of the open ques-
tions. When they answer correctly, open the flap to give them an even harder question. Play until you
answer all of the questions!
Challenge: Quiz yourself using each flap of your cootie catcher. Make sure to check your answers
and use the correct conjugation. Use all your conjugated verbs in complete sentences in your
notebook. Don’t forget to check your spelling!
