GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

Overview:
!
Easipetcare is a UK industry leader in providing low cost veterinary care, with five main
centres and over fifty vaccination clinic outlets located nationwide. Easipetcare's main
clinics provide all aspects of low cost veterinary care for small animals, from general
medicine to surgical procedures. Where the vaccination clinic units provide the pet owning
public with an even lower cost comprehensive vaccination, health check, microchipping
and parasite control service.

It is a fact that in the UK up to sixty percent of general small animal veterinary work is
vaccine related. It is in this important area where a comprehensive health check is carried
out, and any deviations from normal need to be noted and taken care of. It is also at this
vital yearly check where valuable advice and treatment into parasite prevention needs to
be given. To us here at Easipetcare, this means any new graduate with a firm grounding
in this area, reinforced by by seeing many animals in this initial phase of development will
cement firmly in their minds what normal and abnormal animals are like and know the
correct course of action in dealing with these cases.

With the success of over 3000 small animal vaccinations per week, places Easipetcare in
the unique position to nurture new graduates in this initial transition from university to
working life. It is here that the Easipetcare Graduate Development Programme stands out
from the crowd.

The programme is a paid placement, where graduates spend one month initially learning
the finer points to health checking animals in one of Easipetcare’s main centres. Once
graduates feel confident in health checking, vaccinating, microchipping and parasite
control they then go out to take a lead role in one of our clusters of vaccination clinics for
approximately half of their working time, with the aim of then spending the remainder of
their time based in one of our partner practices reinforcing their new skills. Placements
are generally contracted initially for a period of twelve months where at the end you can
either extend, further your career at Easipetcare or another veterinary practice should you
wish to leave. We would like also to say that at the end of twelve months with Easipetcare
you will receive a bonus payment to acknowledge your loyalty, hard work, and to
congratulate you on having been in practice for your first whole year.

Upon exiting this programme graduates are expected to have mastered the fundamentals,
grown in both confidence in dealing with animals and customers in a high paced
environment, equipping them with the necessary tools to become sort after members in
the veterinary market, essential to the running of any general practice.
