“A Detailed Lesson Plan in English III”

I. Objectives:
At the end of 60-minute period with 80% proficiency level, the
students should be able to:
a. Determine the parts of an essay;
b. Distinguish and present the essay provided with correct
corresponding label of each part; and
c. Reflect the significance of an essay in real life situation.

b. Presentation of New Lesson and


Discussion
-Today we’re going to discuss
about Essay.
Essay is a short piece of writing
that tells a person’s thoughts or
opinions about a subject.
Essay has three parts, we have
Introduction, Body and
Conclusion.
Introduction – is the first
paragraph of your essay. It
introduces the main idea of your
essay.
Body – make up the main body
of your essay. They develop the
main idea of your essay.
Conclusion – comes at the end
of your essay after you have
finished developing your ideas.
It summarizes or restates the
main idea of the essay.

C. Closure
a. Generalization
-What are the three parts of an
essay, class? -The introduction,
body and conclusion,

The class will be divided into four, Rubrics

In a whole sheet of paper crosswise, make an essay about Puppy Love with minimum
of 200 words and maximum of 500 words.
