Airports play an important role in field of aviation industry.

According to ICAO an
airport is a special type of aerodrome that has satisfied certain certification criteria or
regulatory requirements of the ICAO that a regular aerodrome may not have
achieved. It is a station where an aircraft regularly takes off and land. It is usually
built on ground that has buildings such as control towers, terminal buildings, facilities
to accommodate passengers such as restaurants and lounges as well as emergency
services and hangars to store aircrafts. Airports is one factor when it comes to
economic growth of one nation, it creates thousands of job and generates
employment. It raises the standard of living of the people.
In Manila, Philippines, Ninoy Aquino International Airport was distinguished as one of
the two international airports serving Metro Manila and is the main international
gateway to the Philippines. It was known before as the “Manila International Airport”
but then called and named after the late senator Ninoy Aquino after his tragic death
on the tarmac of the airport. It is located along the border of between Pasay City and
Paranaque City and southwest of Makati City’s Central Business District.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) plays a big part on the aviation industry of
the Philippines yet it needs high surveillance of security. Considering that the country
is known as a spot for both leisure and business airports now acts as a gateway for
both local and foreign passengers traveling by air due to that security in the place is
always on high risk. In line to that, NAIA since 2015 is considered as one of the 50
busiest airports in the world.
