Daily Promises of God

for  educators Psalm 5:11-12

NIV  -‐ But  let  all  who  take  refuge  in  you  be  glad;
let  them  ever  sing  for  joy.
Spread  your  protection  over  them,
that  those  who  love  your  name  may  rejoice  in  you.
Surely,  Lord,  you  bless  the  righteous;
you  surround  them  with  your  favor  as  with  a  shield.

RSV -‐ But  let  all  who  take  refuge  in  thee  rejoice,
6

let  them  ever  sing  for  joy;

and  do  thou  defend  them,
that  those  who  love  thy  name  may  exult  in  thee.
For  thou  dost  bless  the  righteous,  O  Lord;
thou  dost  cover  him  with  favor  as  with  a  shield.
1

KJV -‐ But  let  all  those  that  put  their  trust  in  thee  rejoice:  let  them  ever  shout  for  joy,  because
thou  defendest  them:  let  them  also  that  love  thy  name  be  joyful  in  thee.  For  thou,  Lord,  wilt
bless  the  righteous;  with  favour  wilt  thou  compass  him  as  with  a  shield.

LB -‐ But  make  everyone  rejoice  who  puts  his  trust  in  you.  Keep  them  shouting  for  joy  because
you  are  defending  them.  Fill  all  who  love  you  with  your  happiness.   For  you  bless  the  godly
man,  O Lord;  you  protect  him  with  your  shield  of  love.

Note to the educator

He  protects  us  with  His  shield  of  love.  Wow,  that’s  beautiful!  As  Christians  in  the  public  school,
A

we  can  protect  our  students  with  a  shield  of  love.  We  love  them  because  of  His  love.    It  is  very
difficult  to  love  the  unlovable,  to  love  the  students  who  are  being  disrespectful  or  rebellious,
but  that  is  our  charge  as  a  Christian.  They  will  know  us  by  our  love.  Let  us  pray  for  His  love  to
cover  us  that  we  may  protect  our  students  with  a  shield  of  love.

1:16 PM prayer
Please  pray for  the  fallen  heroes,  lost  loved  ones  and  their  families  of  9/11.

Quote for the day

Challenges  are  what  make  life  interesting  and  overcoming  them  makes  life  meaningful.
