1. Time taken from pressing S4 to stopping of SR3 in the practical of DC switch opening and
closing
Resolution = 1ms/div

Therefore, the time = [ *4.5] + [(1ms/div) * 2.5div] =3.4 ms

2. Gate current of Thyristors in the practical of AC switch opening and closing by using
miniature switch
Resolution = 200mV/div
200𝑚𝑉
Therefore, the time = [(200mV/div) * 3div] +[ *4.5] = 600mV+ 180mV =780mV

3. Gate current peak of thyristor (both are same) in the practical of AC switch opening and
closing with lights
Resolution = 1V/div

1𝑉
Therefore, the peak voltage = [(1V/div) * 3] + [ *4] = 3.8V

4. Switch on time of mechanical switch

Resolution = 5ms/div
Therefore, time =[5ms/div] *2 = 10ms
