Band Camp Intent Form

What: Weekend filled with music, friends, and refreshing mountain air!
When: September 28-30. Starting Friday evening and ending Sunday afternoon.
Where: Camp Round Meadow in Catoctin Mountain Park
1480 Manahan Road, Sabillasville, MD 21780

Directions from Washington, D.C. and Points East


1. Take I-270 north or I-70 west to Frederick, MD and US Route 15.
2. Take US Route 15 north and travel about 17 miles toward Thurmont, MD.
3. Take exit for State Route 77 west to Hagerstown (Catoctin Mountain Park exit).
4. Go about six miles on Route 77 and turn right onto Foxville/Deerfield Road.
5. Veer right on Manahan Road and travel about ¾ miles; the camp will be on the left.

In order to get the maximum the benefits of Band Camp for you and the CPSB ensemble,
full weekend attendance is strongly encouraged.

 What to bring to Band Camp 
• INSTRUMET and STAND and MUSIC
• Dress for the weather—layers!
PJs, comfy clothes for rehearsal, outdoorsy clothes for any excursions or the bonfire, and a
raincoat and/or umbrella just in case
o Costumes for Friday’s Pride Pajama Party and Saturday’s Galaxy Realness Party are
strongly encouraged!!!
• Pillow, sheets and blanket for a twin bed OR a sleeping bag
• Towels and washcloths
• Whatever you use in the shower, your favorite toiletries, and shower shoes
• Board and lawn games, drinks (alcohol is ok if you’re over 21), snacks (there is a fridge) to share (OR NOT! ☺)
• Whatever you need to have a happy, healthy stay at camp—medications, earplugs, CPAP
machine, teddy bear, etc.
Hand soap, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies will be provided!!!

 What NOT to bring to Band Camp 


• Illegal drugs NO NO NO NO NO
• Pets (sorry, please find alternate plans for your furry, feathered, scaled friends!)
• Firearms, guns, weapons
• Incense, candles, fireworks, firewood
• Anything you do not want a Park Ranger to find in your possession

I would like to apply to for the Ames-Whitbeck Good Fairy Fund (GFF), and I will return an application
with my Band Camp Intent Form.
A GFF scholarship is like a loan and can be paid back in full OR you can agree to help out with any of the
DCDD Committees or Activities listed below:

Scholarship funds are limited. We cannot guarantee that you will receive the full amount requested on
your application. You will be contacted concerning scholarship acceptance and the amount of funding
you will receive.
