The church reminds us how important catechesis is with Catechetical Sunday, September 16, which began in 1935. The document
Provido Sane Consilio, (On The Better Care for Catechetical Education,) published by the Vatican, asked the Church to recognize the
importance of the church's teaching ministry and those who serve in the ministry. The theme for this year is "Enlisting Witnesses for
Jesus Christ."

The following people graciously excepted the call to witness for Jesus Christ; Elaine Music, Kay and Brian Schmidt, Marsha
Peterson, Melissa Gerleman, Stacey Schade, Phyllis Krueger, Rosemary Martin, Amanda Arndt, Michelle Cole, Donna Bolen, and
Ryan and Aubrey Arnold. Shirley Langley, Beth Skalsky, and Viola Hoelting will substitute as needed.
I want to thank the parents of the CCD students for encouraging them to attend their classes to learn more about their Catholic faith
and how to pursue a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. There is no other gift that we as teachers and parents can give that will
benefit them more in their journey of life. ………… Rose Redeker
