TOPIC: THE FRUIT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

TEXT: GAL 5: 22 - 26
INTRODUCTION
In the world especially of plants, fruits are very important because they help to prove the
Identity and value of trees or plants, as the case may be. In the biblical Greek language, fruit
or fruits is "karpos" which speaks of children/progeny/posterity or fruit of the trees, vines,
etc. In other words, "karpos" also means an effect, results or that which originates from
something. It may also be taken to mean profit, advantage etc. In the light of the foregoing,
our topic means the results, products or positive signs that we manifest as those who are
filled with the Holy Spirit. Our text is a detailed enumeration of these signs of the Spirit's
indwelling which we should all sincerely crave.

Aim: To identify the fruit of the Holy Spirit, and urge us to seek to manifest them.

CONCLUSION
There are some who teach that Christianity is in the heart of the believer only. Others teach
that one's faith is only meant for private use only. Actually, it is futile and even ridiculous to
claim to have the Holy Spirit without manifesting the fruits. The Holy Spirit needs our bodies
to manifest His ways to men. So, consciously refusing or ignoring to manifest the fruit
frustrating the Holy Spirit.
