Subj'ect: Update - a heads up - house chamber audio -

So, not cut wire. A power supply was unplugged that is used for the recording PC and the assistive listening devices -
that is how this works.

At 8:30am session morning - Tuesday, HPC staff tested, we do not know if the recording was listened to for
verification.

So we did find 14 minutes of the WRALstream and recorded the audio, that contains the bill debate and passage. What
is missing is Jackson's protest, but that is in the Journal, and the second bill debate and passage.

We sent this over the HPC office.

Here is our internal write up for this incident.

Incident with House Chambers recording. 07/24/2018

Extra Session 12018 (session code 2017E1)

The recordina of Dav 1 of the Extra Session recordina did not occur. Notes entered by the Reading Clerk did occur and
have been archived.

The reason the recordina failed was due to a oower supply being unplugged to an amplifier. This amplifier is used for
both the recordina computer and assisted listening devices.

It appears that a test of the recordina computer was done at approximately 8:30am on Tuesday. I do not know if it
was listened to.

Audio testing of the FTR (For the Record) software had been done on Thursday, July 19 during cabling operations. The
ower supply must have been knocked lose or removed from the plug after this.
The power supply has been labeled FTR.
