ABSTRACT
Nowadays, most of the human being on the earth are consuming and producing the
data. Everyday, we are generating voluminous and very diversified data. Process of
investigative these huge amounts of datasets, normally technocrats are using the term
Big data analytics. Big data analytics is used to find unseen patterns, decode
unidentified connection, understand the motivation behind current tendencies and
identify the client preferences and additional valuable commercial information. Big
Data analytical help us to take more effective and better decision related to current
market, better client service and satisfaction. Big data analytics is technology enabled
analytics, there are many visualization tools are available in the market from many
leading vendors like SAS, IBM, R Analytics etc. Big data is to manage huge amount of
diversified varieties of structured, unstructured or semi-structured data which should
be process fast. Many people having confusion about what big data analytics is and
what big data analytics is not. Scale, Security, Consistency, Skilled man power and
many more are the challenges in Big Data. Big data analytics is important because it
help the business, commercial or any organization to take the better decision. For any
decision making there is a journey from Collecting data, Organizing, Summarizing,
Analyzing, Synthesizing and then at last decision making. Here, in this research paper
we covered what are the different characteristics of Big data analytics, how we can
identify what big data analytics is, what are the different challenges and why big data
analytics is important in today’s world.

1. INTRODUCTION
Every day, we are generating voluminous and very diversified data. Process of investigative
these huge amounts of datasets, normally technocrats are using the term Big data analytics. Big
data analytics is used to find unseen patterns, decode unidentified connection, understand the
motivation behind current tendencies and identify the client preferences and additional valuable
commercial information. Big Data analytical help us to take more effective and better decision
related to current market, better client service and satisfaction. Big data analytics is technology
enabled analytics, there are many visualization tools are available in the market from many
leading vendors like SAS, IBM, R Analytics etc. Big data is to manage huge amount of
diversified varieties of structured, unstructured or semi-structured data which should be process
fast. We covered what are the different characteristics of Big data analytics, how we can
identify what big data analytics is, what are the different challenges and why big data analytics
is important in today’s world.

2. WHAT IS BIG DATA ANALYTICS

Big data analytics is time-sensitive, used to take faster decision from huge amount of
diversified data and used to find the deep and richer insights of the business. It is one kind of
technology enabled analytics.

3. WHAT BIG DATA ANALYTICS ISN’T

Big data analytics is not to replace the RDBMS or traditional data warehouse. Big data analytics
is co-existing with both RDBMS and Data Warehouse. If you have only huge amount of data
then you cannot say that it is big data. Huge Volume is a characteristic, but only Volume cannot
justify big data. It is not only used by big companies, it can be used by any company.

Importance

4. CLASSFICIATION OF BIG DATA ANALYTICS

Analytics is classified into basic, monetized, progressive, operationalized. Analytics can be
classified into descriptive, diagnostic, predictive or prescriptive.

5. CHALLENGES IN BIG DATA ANALYTICS

There are so many challenges in big data analytics like scaling, storage is the biggest concern
that need to be resolved. Security is also biggest concerns, most of the NOSQL database having
poor security features. Lack of proper authentication and authorization lead to threatening in
the system. Continuous 24 X 7 availability is also the challenge that need to be resolved.
Whenever we queried into the database, we must get the consistent answer every time.
Consistency, Availability and Partition Tolerance (CAP Theorem) is required in database.
Building the database in such a way that we can cover both the aspects hardware and failure
and system must work properly. Maintaining the quality of the data like completeness,
accuracy, timelines etc is also a big challenge. Finding the skilled man power who have a
powerful knowledge about the technology as well as having great computation skills related to
statistics. Schema should be dynamic. Inflexible schema has no place.
To resolve the challenges of big data analytics we need a technology which provide high
storage and cheap cost is the first requirement. We need faster processors to help quicker
processing of the data. Affordable and economical open-source is required. Parallel processing
in terms of huge connectivity, high quantity rather than the low potential. Cloud computing and
other flexible resource allocation arrangements are required to meet the challenges in big data.

6. IMPORTANCE OF BIG DATA ANALYTICS

Big data analytics is important because it help the business, commercial or any organization to
take the better decision. For any decision making there is a journey from Collecting data,
Organizing, Summarizing, Analyzing, Synthesizing and then at last decision making. It helps
the business to make faster and better decision by providing perfect information to the perfect
person at the perfect time. It is all about analysis of the historical data and then finding the
predictions based on the current data. It can be reactive, analysis is based on the huge amount
of data but still the data is static. It can be proactive analytics to support the futuristic decision
based on the data mining or text mining technique. It can also be proactive big data analytics it
is derived from plenty of terabytes, exabytes of information and finding out the best relevant
data for the analysis. It also includes the high-performance analytics to get the deep and richer
understanding of the data and solve the very complex issues using huge set of data. Every day,
we people are generating and consuming the data for this we are collecting lots of data and
analysis of this all data is necessity. Data Scientists who have knowledge about the data mining
and expertise in mathematic calculation having too much scope in their career perspective.
Most of the human on the world want the analyzed report of specific things. Analytics is the
necessity of the human being.

8. CONCLUSION
Here, in this research paper we covered what are the different characteristics of Big data
analytics, how we can identify what big data analytics is, what are the different challenges and
why big data analytics is important in today’s world. Many people having confusion about what
big data analytics is and what big data analytics is not. Scale, Security, Consistency, Skilled
man power and many more are the challenges in Big Data. Big data analytics is important
because it help the business, commercial or any organization to take the better decision. For
any decision making there is a journey from Collecting data, Organizing, Summarizing,
Analyzing, Synthesizing and then at last decision making is required.
