VENUE: On the beach at the north end of Oceanside California. The venue’s main area is set up on a bluff
overlooking the beautiful Pacific Coast shoreline. Bleachers near the start/finish offer great views of the
course. Please park (and ride) only in designated areas. Do not wander down the beach or trails outside
the race course perimeter.
DIRECTIONS: From I-5 Freeway (north or southbound), exit LAS PULGAS Road. Go WEST on Pulgas Rd,
proceed through the yellow gate onto a dirt road, toward the ocean, to the parking area.
COURSE: Wide fast dirt roads. Deep sand section and long, ride-able hard pack beach section. LOW
TIDE pattern again this year so no need to ride through the surf! Small climbs with a few technical turns,
and barrier sections.
REGISTRATION: Pre-register on-line at www.sportsbaseonline.com. Online registration closes Thursday
prior to race at 9:00pm (Pacific). Race Day registration opens at 7:45am and closes 15 minutes prior to
each race category start. On-line pre-registration is preferred, however mail in entries will be accepted if
received by October 20th, 2010 (mail to: Celo Pacific Racing Team, 7040 Avenida Encinas Ste 104, PMB
159, Carlsbad, CA 92011-4653).
ENTRY FEES: Pre-Registration entry fee is $28 for all CX categories, except Juniors (10-18 yrs), and
Youth (U10) who race free*. Additional race entries are just $5.00 per race. $7.00 late fee for race day
entry. A valid USA Cycling license is required for all racers. Annual USAC licenses can be purchased
online at: www.USACycling.org or on race day. One-Day license is also available for purchase.
*Juniors race free with USA Cycling license, or purchase one-day license. Juniors must pay regular entry
fee for category races if not entering Junior race. No race license required for Youth category, but parent or
legal guardian must sign release form. Pre-register at:
RULES: Event held under USA Cycling Permit. All 2010 USA Cycling and CX rules apply. Event will be
held rain or shine. Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes (no bar ends) are acceptable. Bike and wheel changes
are allowed only in the designated pit areas. Riders must wear helmets when on the bike at all times.

RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area soon after each race. Check your results
within the 15 minute protest period or they will be final. Weekly race results and series standings will be
posted online at: www.SoCalCross.org
