Pump Centrifugal
Procedure:
1. Fully open pump inlet valve and delivery valves.
2. Switch on motor Drive isolator and start pump motor.
3. Use the bleed line to bleed all pressure gauges.
4. Adjust the motor to the speed needed for the experiment
5. Tabulate Results obtain.
6. Plot Graph of Flow rate against suction pressure.
7. Plot Graph the dimensionless characteristics of head coefficient
and power coefficient against flow coefficient.
Precautions:
1. Bleed Lines Before performing experiment
2. Turn valves slowly to prevent water hammer.

Power Input W
Discussion:
The suction test revealed that, the relationship between flow rate
and pressure as experiments show that a increase and decrease in
either resulted in the other, being affected and following the same.
The same trend was observed in the relationship between power input
and efficiency. In the first three sets of readings, no observable trend
was identified between power, efficiency, flow rate, head and flow
rate. Throughout the experiment, the speed remained most constant,
while the efficiency within the system saw the most amount of
movement.
Conclusion:
The relationship between the flow rate and pump efficiency are
proportional.
