The very first thing to do after purchasing SBot is to download it. The only safe download
links are at SBot’s homepage which is www.bot-cave.net For pleasant program experience, we
urge you to always use the latest SBot version available. Newer versions fix problems and
programming errors that occurred in the previous versions and also may add some new
functions to the bot. For list of changes, look take a look at our forum.
After downloading SBot, extract the contents to the folder you want your character
configuration to be in. For example, you may create a new folder in Desktop called „SBot”. In
this folder, make a new folder with a name of your character(s) you are going to do the setup.
Please notice that for each character you will need a new folder with SBot files (executable
and navdata folder). You can not use the same configuration file with all your character due
to differences of character setup.
The next step is to log in into your bot account. To do so, open SBot and let it load till you see
the user interface. After successful opening, go to www.bot-cave.net and log in to your forum
account. Now check the upper menu and click Profile tab. There you will see a username
called „Botusername”. Use botusername together with your forum password to log in to
SBot.
Caution: please do not mix forum username with botusername. Forum username is for
accessing SBot’s forum. Botusername is for using the program. It’s made for security reasons.

Enter your botusername in the program’s Username: Field and password on the Password:
field. After that, click Login. For user’s convenience, tick Save login and automatically
connect on startup so you don’t need to validate your bot each time you open it.
After successful login, your botserver status will turn into green:

This means that your bot is now ready to be configured.

Caution: Because SBot will communicate with it’s servers while logging in your account, you
need to allow all your firewall requests if they appear. SBot will only connect to it’s servers to
verify that your account is paid and has botting time on it.

3
Basic configuration
After successful login you need to show SBot where your Silkroad folder is. To do so, browse
the upper menu of SBot and select Settings – Choose Silkroad Directory

After doing it, SBot console will tell you that you choosed new SRO directory:

Silkroad folder location may vary. Most common locations (by default):
Drive letter: \Program Files \Silkroad
Drive letter: \Program Files (x86) \Silkroad)

If that’s done, you can continue Setting your bot up.

Now you will see different options in the Login tab

First, you should tick „Enable starting of multiple clients”. This allows SBot to start
multiclient in order to log in more than one character at once. You will need to enable this in
every character’s SBot.
Next you can set up autologin. Loginchar must be the character’s ingame name that you want
to log in to.

4
Enable relogin/restart bot on disconnect allows SBot to login your character and start botting
if you get a disconnect from the game. Note that you will need to have your character’s name
in Loginchar box. Otherwise it will not work.
For pleasant gaming, checking box Auto hide client after relog is a must. This feature hides
the client after it’s opened by the bot (when relogging after DC) in order to reduce CPU usage.

After you’ve configured the and saved the settings, you are ready to
After pressing it, it will take some time to start SRO_Client.
Please note that if you have modified the PK2 file or HOSTS file, you have to restore their
default content. Otherwise SBot will not be able to start SRO_Client.
Also note that you need to have folder called navdata in the same folder as SBot.exe is.
Otherwise you will get error like this:

Also make sure that Silkroad is updated and you use latest SBot version.

5
Setup
Logging in your character and doing setup

After successful start of SRO_Client, you will see SRO loginscreen shortly. Just insert your ID
and PW for the game account and log in with your character. After Disconnect from the
game, SBot will automatically relog (if configured) with last logindetails entered. Depending
if you selected On first connect: Autoselect and log in char... bot will do it for you. Please do
not interfere this process because if you select and log in your character despite you set SBot
do to it, SBot may have problems with handling your character! If you play in different
servers then SBot will automatically relog your chars to the right servers.

Setup – Skills

After successful login, your skills will appear in SBot menu called Skills
Depending on your character’s race and build, you will have European or Chinese skills in the
list.

Attack skills

In this list, you will see 4 lists of skills. All these apply to monsters with different volume.
For example, with Low HP/Mainlist, you can set up attack skills that are used for monsters
from Normal to Champions. These skills will only be used with these monsters. Depending on
your set up of skills, these skills in the Low HP/Mainlist will not be used when your character
is fighting with Party Monster or Party giant (for example). But if you choose same skills to be
used with Party monsters, then obviously SBot will use them. If you want to use one set of
skills for all monsters, use the Mainlist and don’t add any skills to other Attack skills lists.

To add a skills, simply choose (click) on Skill name from the left menu and click on the + (in
the picutre, it’s in right side) to add it to the relevant Attack skills list.

Please note: DO NOT add Malicious devil skill, socket stone buffs and Mirror reflect (12DG
weapon’s special buff) to the Attack skills list. This will lead into slow attacking!

6
Buff skills

In this list, you will see 3 lists of skills. Each applies for different situations. For example,
Buffs while training apply when your character has arrived at training place and is killing
monsters around him. Add Malicious Devil Skill, Warcry and 12DG wep buffs here.
Buffs while emergency apply for emergency buffs. These can be configured when you scroll
down and see:

Here you can configure various situations when emergency buffs will be casted. Emergency
buffs can be Snow Shield, Bless spell, Healing orbit and so on.

Buffs while walking apply when character is walking to the training area. These buffs are
casted when character is just about to leave down. They are also casted after teleportation or
when horse dies on walk. Walking buffs can be Speed March, Holy spell, Holy Recovery
Division, Earth Fire Protection, Final Guard of Ice and so on. These are meant to protect
character when it’s moving to spot.

Attack method/Speed options

Iterate attack skills means that skills are casted on by one according to the Attack skills list(s)
(from the first one to the last one).
Iterate per mob has the same meaning as the previous one, but this time skills will be casted
one by one on the monster (for example, on Party Giant).
Use speed drugs: Sbot can use 50% and 100% Speed drugs that can be bought from the
grocery shop. If you want to use them while training/walking, tick this option.

7
Imbue

Just choose Imbue (Chinese characters only) that is used together with the skill.

Weapon Switch

This option works with European characters only. Because of the nature of the game, adding
support for Chinese second weapon buffs is harder and thus not implemented yet.
Switch weap pos: This is the position of the weapon that you use to cast buffs. Please note
that it must be in the first line of your inventory. For example:

With this set up, you need to choose position 4 (harp)

If weapon switch fails (SBot console says so) then your weapon is either broken, lost or not in
the right slot.

Caution: DO NOT mix buffs/attack skills with each other. This will make SBot to attack
slower than normal!

8
Setup - Settings

Here you can set up

buying settings. These
apply when bot is doing
townloop. There is one
thing you must
remember: Never set up
bot yo buy arrows/bolts
when they are not
available in the
hometown. So make sure
that you use town that
has both or the
ammunition you need.
Otherwise bot will not
leave down.

The number after the

item marks quantity of
the product

Uses speed buff (Bard/Light skill) and Speed drugs while doing
townloop. If you want bot to use Speed drugs, you must tick
„Use speed drugs” in Skill tab.

These apply for potion usage.

Here you can set up when bot
should use various potions if
MP/HP is below x%. You can
also configure pet healing and
pills usage. Note that Heal pet
applies for both old and new
pet (fellower).

9
Setup – Settings

Auto revive: When selected, bot

will automatically buy Grass of
life and revive pet in town (and
summon it). For reviving new
fellow pet on the field, use the
second option. Third option will refill pet’s satiety only at training place, when you’ve started
bot. It will not heal satiety on town to prevent misuse of the potions where they are not
actually needed.

This is for walking towards trainingplace. SBot can use

horse and feed it. To make it work, you need to set SBot
to buy horse and some recovery kits in order to heal
horse’s HP.

This is simple setting for casting bard’s buff named

Noise before leaving the town.

Pick settings apply for picking monster’s drops. You can

either pick stuff by character or by pickup pet. In order
to pick items with pet, you have to turn the ingame
settings of pet OFF.
If you want to put items into storage, then tick Save to
storage. In order to set up items that you want to either
pick or not to pick (and sell/put to storage), see the
Setup – Items.

Sorting storage means that SBot will arrange similar items (like Str
tablets) into one slot. It will also work with other stuff like alchemy
materials.

10
These are the settings to tell bot when to return to town in order to buy supplies/repair
equipment.

For Crossbow/Bow chars: If you want bot to return town due to lack of ammo, then check the
Ammo amount <. It means that SBot will go town to buy Bolts/Arrows if there are less than X
remaining in the slot/inventory.
Durability low means the overall durability of equipment (head, chest, legs etc).

11
Setup – Items

This should be quite easy to use. If you want to use Options for current item group then you
need to select Show: Custom.

For better item list management, check the video we have made
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xluk9sy_SIs

In order to pick items via pet, please turn OFF the pet
inside the game and check Pick via pet.
For storing items (that are marked as Store), select
Save to storage.

If you want to search items, use the built-in search

function.

General: Use various item groups to sort items better.

This gives easy access to tablets, stones, rare items
(sun/son etc) and so on.

12
Setup – Training place

For training places, you have 3 options. Normally you need to use only one (marked Active).
This is default setting and SBot will bot your char in the designated area. For more
information about Trainingplace 2 and 3, read AutoQuest section.

How to set bot to start at desired spot/training place?

It’s simple. Just go to the place you want to bot and click:
Now X, Y and Z turn into numbers (some may still remain 0). For user’s convenience, check
Autowalk, before clicking Get current coords.

Autowalk is a special feature of SBot. It is a system that automatically tells

character where to run. This is most convenient way to bot without scripts.

After Autowalk is selected, the next time SBot returns from town, it will find a way to the spot
automatically without any scripts.

Active is trainingplace where you normally level up your character. If you, for
example, have multiple training spots, choose Active on the spot you want to bot at.

Caution! Please set radius more than zero

This prevents the issue that SBot is not
attacking monsters when character arrives
to training place. Also note that for attackers,
do not select Skills – Don’t attack at all
Otherwise SBot will not attack monsters.

There are many other options available in Training place settings if you scroll down.

For example, SBot will take cheapest

route to Alexandria, Go to Roc Mnt.
Via Samarkan and Go to Samarkand
via Constantinople ferry. These are
all made to satisfy users that would
use these options. Also, there’s
option for ignoring mobs that are
stucked/behind obstacles. In most
cases, it works well, but in some rare
cases it’s currently not at it’s best
shape. It will be improved over the
time.

Please note that monsters, that were not behind obstacles, may move there the second SBot
tries to attack them. Thus it can’t be made fail-proof.

13
Setup – Training place/Script recording/Extra

If you want to record a script, then Script recording is right place for you.

To record a script, simply click Start record. Please note that

you don’t need to make townloop script. Start script from the
teleport spot at any town. Then start moving to the spot. Your
teleports etc will be automatically saved. Try to avoid big
obstacles (walk a way around them) and don’t make too many
turns because SBot doesn’t save the clicks you make in the
ground. Instead, it periodically saves the coordinates. At
training spot, Stop record and save script. For your
convenience, you can edit the saved script in order to
designate the center coordinates (last coordinates in the line).

To use a script, simply choose Use script

and Choose a file (browse to location
where you saved the script to. After that,
verify that script is working and you don’t
get stuck while walking.

If you get error (with Autowalk) like this then

you most likely choosed/entered the wrong
coordinates. Just check them and make sure –
and other indicators are right.

SBot allows you to Set coordinates for selected mob. This way, an automated system will find
coordinates where your choosed monsters are located. To do so, use the box Mob:
You can either type in the monster name or select it from the list. To make it easier, click on
the arrow and start typing. This way SBot will be more accurate on finding the desired
monster. After found, choose it and click Set coords. If you want to change spot, you can do it
either manually or click Set coords again to change the location.

Extra training options

give you a huge
advantage in training
place. Be sure to check
them, at least first one.

14
Setup – Autolure

Warriors will find this section especially uselful. SBot’s autolure allows warrior to lure
monsters around the training place to the party members to increase EXP and item drop
chances.

Setup:

1. Use right panel to set up your lure preferences. When going back wait ... means that
when lurer goes to the designated spot (to lure mobs) and casts Howling shout, it will
simply make some gap between steps when it returns to center. This allows monsters
to catch up and not go away because loosing target (meaning warrior). Please note
that ... PT giants in radius > is sometimes hard to understand. If you wish to stop lure
after 1 Party Giant is in radius, then enter 0 to the box. Also note that the radius is
your Active training place radius. So you better set it to be the same as for attackers
(or bigger if needed).
2. After configured, start taking coordinates. You can use SBot’s coordinates from
Closest spawns or you can choose yours. To choose your coordinates, go to the spot
you think there are monsters and click Add current coordinate. You can do it many
times to expand the luring area. When choosed wrongly (or two times) simply right
click on the coordinate and delete it.
3. After all that is done, click Activate luring mode and Start bot. If configured properly,
SBot starts luring. Now, Save coordinates to a file for later use. If you do not do that,
the next time you open SBot you will see emty Current list:

15
Setup – Trace mode

Trace mode should be pretty simple to understand.

Active – When selected, character that is in Player: box is being followed. This requires you to
start bot first (until then, no trace will be made).

Blind trace – same trace as Silkroad has.

AI trace – Artificial intelligence trace from SBot developer to trace player without getting
stuck. In this mode, trace is a bit slower but also more intelligent, meaning that it will not get
stuck and make it’s way over the obstacles.

Keep distance of ... – the char that traces other char will keep distance. Especially uselful
when the player that you trace goes in combat with multi-target mobs.

16
Setup – Party

You can accept different party invites just by selecting the one you want.
The same goes with Invite other player to the party and making sure if you allow other
players to invite or not.
Inviting only near training place helps you to prevent invites in town etc, for example: chars
get DC and relog, they spawn in town and invite each other, therefore the main party reamins
with 2 different party and will not work properly.

At the Current party you see the party you’ve joined/made.

If you’re master, you can use mouse „right click” to kick member, set to auto PT (apply list)
and auto ress When you have selected to auto party, in line „A-PT” *X* will be showed.
This shows that SBot will invite the marked player to your party. For this, you need to tick
Apply list

Apply list: A list of players that you want to invite to PT/accept invitations from.
You can manage it from the upper menu Lists – Party list.

Information: SBot can not form a party to the party matching system. Nor can it accept Party
requests via party matching system.

17
Setup – Party buffing

Using Party buffing is simple. Once you are in a party, click on Refresh button to see the list
of members that are in your party. To buff a character, first select the character name in the
Party members list and then select the buff you would like to give him. Next click << (adds
buff) or if you mistakenly choosed buff on wrong player, choose the player name in the Party
buffs list and click >>
Buff radius around buffing player: Area in which buffer will buff other players (max 30)

Green buffs: Buffs that you are able to cast

Red buffs: Buffs that you have not unloced yet

Workaround for common bugs:

Character is not buffing other players.

1. Check if you are wearing right weapon

2. Make sure you have the main weapon’s (the one used for buffing) attack skill
(random) in Attack skills list. This helps SBot to identify your main weapon
3. If you are, lets say cleric, and don’t use second weapon buffs (or don’t have second
weapon on the designated slot) then deactivate weapon switch!
4. Don’t add buffs, that are not castable, to your Buffs while training list

18
Setup – Auto quest

SBot is capable of doing almost all quests that NPCs give you. The only quests it’s not capable
of doing are:
1. Knight/Baronet/General etc quests (blue zerker quests)
2. NPC to NPC talking quests.
3. Job quests (Job levelling quests from town NPCs)

Active quests: a list of quests that you’ve taken from NPCs. Quests that are done, will turn
into orange colour. Managed quests is a list of quests that you want SBot to finish/do.
To add a quest, click on Open quest manager/-viewer. After that, start sorting quests by
name, level and so on. Now you will see quests that are either marked green (quests you can
do), red (quests that are currently unavailable) or white (quests that are done). To do a
quest, simply left click on the quest you would like to do (green quests only) and then right
click on it and select Add quest. Now you will see that the selected quest appears in Managed
quests list.

Turn to next page

19
Now you have the selected quest(s) in the list. First, start with the If done, ...(*) drop-down
menu. Select what SBot should do after the quest is done. Please note that you can’t do many
quests at the same time (up to 3 or more, depending on monsters) without teleporting to
town. SBot won’t walk to next spot when first quest is done. So next we have Deliver option
(**). Choose what SBot should do when the quest is done (killcount achieved or items
collected etc).
Rep: Repeat quest (after it’s done, SBot will take a new quest from the same NPC). Please
note that it will only work with repeatable quests. When you select Rep in quest that is not
repeatable, SBot will not stuck but will remove the quest from the list if it cannot be taken
again.

So now you have it. For first quest that you want to do, select Active under Trainingplace
settings. Active is a default spot (the normal training area SBot will return) So for casual
botting, the spot you want to use needs to be marked Active. If you want to do more quests at
once (max 3 training places), then do the following:
Lets say you selected Trainingplace 1 as active and first quest in the list has „Go to
Trainingplace 2” in the If done option. Now Trainingplace 2 in the Trainingplace settings
must have a spot coordinates for monsters that are needed to complete the second quest. The
same applies for second quest (to do the third quest). Please make sure that you select
Deliver option that suits you (once again, SBot will not walk from one spot to another without
completing one quest first).
For repeatable quests, just select Rep box and select suitable delivery method.

20
Setup – Extra

SBot has many extra options. In this tutorial, we are going to speak about resurrection and
proxy only (because others are self-explanatory). For Party botting, there’s good options to
get resurrected when you die, and also resurrect others when they die. Remember that the
Auto resurrect other players works only when you are a member of a party. It will not work if
you are not in a party.

Apply list: This is a list of players that you

accept resurrection request from. It’s needed
if you don’t want to get delevel by other
players that intentionally resurrect you in
order to delevel your character. You can open
the list from the top menu Lists – Res list

Resurrection radius: This is independent from training area radius. SBot will walk far away to
resurrect a player that has died on walkback for example. This is nice feature that will allow
your character to ress players that didn’t make it to the spot.

We strongly recommend not

to use open/unsecure
proxies that can be found
anywhere in the internet.
There are numerous proxy
sites that sell proxies for
quite a cheap price. The
setup process for proxy
connection is easy: Just
choose which proxy to use,
insert IP/Port and ID PW.
If the proxy is not working,
contact with proxy company.

Additional information / Updating SBot

SBot can block gold spammers that spam the „All” chat in
towns. In order to make it work, select Lists – Chat block list
In there, select Auto block gold spammers. You can check out
other lists as well (Inventory, Res, Party lists).

Also, please note that you have to click Save settings each time you change
settings. Without it, settings will not be applied.

Updating SBot:

After a weekly server inspection in SRO, you need to update SBot (in most cases). You don’t
need to update SBot if there was no update downloaded via Silkroad.exe after the inspection.
Please note that you have to run Silkroad.exe at least one time after Server inspection (SRO)
has completed. Otherwise you will get error like this:

It means that SBot

can’t start Silkroad
because SRO has
been updated (but
you haven’t updated
it in your end). To
solve this error, just
run Silkroad.exe and
update SRO.

Also, check for new SBot version at SBot homepage and update it if needed (if newer version
is available). You may also check our homepage for updates if there was no SRO update
because SBot is sometimes updated to add new features/fix bugs. It’s always best to use the
most up-to-date version available. For list of changes, check forum News & Updates or our
Facebook community

To update SBot, simply extract both (Navdata and SBot.exe) files to the character’s folder.
Please not that you don’t need to change configuration/delete it. All the settings you’ve
previously configured will remain the same. Only the executable file (and sometimes navdata
files) will be changed in order to work with new SRO version. You should delete the older
version’s exe file and use the newest one.
