THE SMART WAYS TO INCULCATE NATIONALISM AND GOOD ATTITUDE BY

TECHNOLOGY

Indonesia is as developing country which had been struggled by society especially

teenager to beat off colonizer in the past. The first president of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno said
that “give me 1000 old people; I will put off Mount Semeru from the root. But, give me ten
teenagers, I will shake the world”. It means teenager has a big role to make a country be
better. If we want to see how the country is, we can see the teenager first. Nationalism,
friendly, respectable, and cooperative are Indonesian’s identity.
Here, I will deliver the limitation about my title. Nationalism means we keep our
Indonesian identity and appreciate foreign culture without decrease our identity. So we have to
increase our good attitude to show that we love Indonesia so much. It is possible if we fight
nowdays because foreign people colonize by technology. Thus, we have to be smart, brave, and
capable. Then, technology that we discuss is about informatics technology.

Let me give you example about Mulyadi, he is a hero from Madiun. When he was young,
he followed TRIP (Tentara Republik Indonesia Pemuda) to fight the colonizer of communist. He
gave all power energy to assists the country. Yap, we can imitate Mulyadi’s nationalism to apply
in daily life. Teenager doesn’t only use his power to fight but also has good attitude to old
people.
Nowdays, entertainment isn’t only TV, but also internet. Internet consists of everything
that people need to know the world. It is useless if we don’t care and know about everything
whereas we can keep the world in our hand. It is sad if we are clueless in this modern era.
Informatics technology especially internet has big influence to people. There are a lot of
positive and negative contents that we can access. Although the popular content is game and
entertainment, but it also includes education contents. Like a proverb, a knife becomes useful
or useless depends on the people. It can be the tool to peel an apple or kill other people. So, it
is same with internet that we can use internet to get the knowledge or watch negative video as
temporary entertainment.

Ladies and gentlemen

Here, I will show you the smart ways to increase nationalism and good attitude in the
globalization:
The first is use gadget in smart ways. Don’t access negative content like porn video or
play online games that make you be addicted. You can download smart application like ruang
guru, teka teki silang, cerdas cermat and so on.
The second, don’t watch movie too much especially drama Korea because it is non
sense in daily life. It will make you daydreaming. Then you can also imitate the style, the scene,
and so on.
The third is being grateful for our tradition and culture. We are respect, friendly, care,
honest and humble. The entire world knows it. Our culture is much; we can start learning
traditional dance, song, and attitude. Indonesia is rich with all of the own unique things.

Ladies and Gentlemen

From those explanations, teenagers are sometimes in confusion and easy to influence.
So, it is the chance for foreign people. We must proud to be teenagers because we have big
chances to reach our dreams. Don’t let foreign culture lose local culture. We can be smart in all
subjects like art, education, attitude, and sport to live in millennial era. The purpose of that is
welcoming foreign culture without decreasing local culture.
