Executive Summary

This project gives the complete working report of Zippy Edibles Pvt Ltd. This
project gives d brief information of the challenges and problems faced by the
company is this field. This report also tell the growth chart of the companyfrom the
year it started till the day. Challenges faced by its competitors also effects the
company’s sales and profit. The company can not set any price on its own to stand
in d market.
The company operate with one motive in the mind, that is to serve the best quality
to the customer so as to earn their contentment towards us. By integrating itself
with the most top modern machines and associating with the best &most
hardworking employ force, they envision to lead the markets and name ourselves
as the most prominent Pasta Brand of India.

Methodology
The internship would require detailed study of the pasta market and how to acquire new
market areas. I would survey the market and short list the markets that have higher
consumption of pasta, macaroni and vermicelli. Also, I will visit the previous vendors
and suppliers for receiving the response of the product from the customers.
Also, I will be doing online advertisement on various websites like Tradeindia &
Indiamart. I will also create web pages on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter,
Googleplus & Linkedin.
Learning various strategies for alluring the customers and making the brand famous
would be main objective for this internship. – Food choice variables have been
explored using literature reviews and exploratory survey of young consumers in the
age group of 20‐40. Data obtained from the reliable sources (e.g. the World Health
Organisation`) have been used to study the implications of consumer food choice and
growing trend towards organic food.

Findings by Zippy Edibles Pvt. Ltd.


– Based on literature reviews and exploratory surveys, the key determinants
impacting consumers food choice are passion for eating out, socialize, ambience and
taste for school and college goers and convenience for dual‐income families in urban
India. Findings indicate that fast food companies can no longer rely on convenience
as USP in India, unless the implications of same on consumers health is given equal
importance in the years to come.

of sauce and spices of all over the world which makes it one of the most versatile and

History
The company was started in the year 2014 by two key people Mr. Gautam Rungta and
Siddhart Singhal. The motive to set up this industry was to make people lead a healthy
life by eating fast food. In the early stage the company was started with the initial capital
of 14 crores and by the day the company has the turnover of 30 crores with the assets of
26crores. In the initial stage it was bit difficult task to run the industry but the hardwork
and the never degrading quality took the company to the special place in the market. The
company initially targeted the nearly cities and towns but now it has its supply all over
india.

Literature Review On Zippy Edibles Pvt. Ltd.

India’s quick service restaurant (QSR) business was floundering after body blows from
demonetisation, the ban on liquor sales on highways and the introduction of the goods
and services tax (GST). Hundreds of QSR and café outlets shut between 2013 and 2016
through the reckless expansion of 2015. Now, they have bounced back, galvanised by the
unexpected challenges. Smaller stores, more food innovations, moving out of high streets
and greater focus on same-store sales growth (SSG) are driving a resurgence

For Domino’s, the bellwether of QSR industry, 2017 started on a grim note: SSG dived
into negative territory of 3.2 per cent from a positive of 4.6 per cent for the year-ago
quarter — a first in six consecutive quarters of low but positive SSG.

Despite a bounce-back in the second quarter for India’s largest pizza brand, posting a
positive SSG of 4.2 per cent, the recovery was tenuous. The pizza, and the larger QSR
story, it seemed, were to be sliced asunder.

Westlife Development, which operates McDonald’s restaurants in western and southern


India, similarly saw a stronger September quarter on the back of higher SSG at 8.4 per
cent from 1.7 per cent of Q2 2016, making it nine consecutive quarters of same-store
sales growth.

KFC India, the local arm of the American burger giant, has seen five consecutive quarters
of positive system sales growth. Mad Over Donuts, the largest donut player in terms of
store count, also reported an upswing in SSG, averaging 14 per cent over the last three
quarters.

“I am quite bullish on QSR’s long-term growth potential,” says Tarak Bhattacharya, chief
operating officer of Singapore-based Mad Over Donuts.

 To maximize its profits and sales the company has deciding to make a tie up with
pitanjali. Pitanjali has a well created market and soon it will be in the eyes of
customers , through our product contains 100% semolina therefore it will easily catch
up the market hence resulting in heavy profits for the company.

Issues and challenges faced by company
There are many problems faced by the company to run its operations, some of them are
as follows

 The company uses best quality Semolina for its products which is not easily
available in the market and therefore the plant has to remain shut for somedays
when there is the scarcity of the same
 Heavy charges of transportation charged by the transport agencies to deliver
the product from factory to the outlets.
 At times due to improper transportation the product gets crack over it, which
gives a bad name to the company.
 Different taxes charged by the states results in improper and confusing
accounting system.
 Scarcity of skilled labour as the technicians are needed to run the machinery
which is not available easily in the market and if so then the charges are higher

The current ratio is a liquidity ratio that measures a company’s ability to pay short

 To maximize its sales in consumer packs the company should redesign its
packaging, as the current design is good but could be better and more
attractive.
