A Name that Means Something

Exodus 20.7

There is often significance in a name.

This is certainly true and often seen in the Old Testament.

“Abram” means “ exalted father”; “Abraham” means

“father of a multitude .” (Genesis 17.5)

“Isaac” means “ laughter .” (Genesis 17.19)

This significance can be seen even more clearly in the names of Jesus .
