1) PURPOSE

This method statement covers on site installation OF Electrical Panels as per

the specifications and requirements.

2) SCOPE OF WORKS

The procedure will define the method to be used to ensure that the Electrical
Panel Installation on site Assembly, connection and workmanship are
acceptable, correct, as per the Authorities requirements and specifications.

3) STORAGE

Unload the Switcboard at designated unloading area. Use mobile crane/

Hiab Crane to unload the floor standby panels.

* Ensure that panels are stored in a dry and clean area.

* Make sure the storage area is safe and protect with tarpaulin

4) PRE - INSTALLATION

All materials and documentation relevant to the particular Section of Work

shall be checked prior to Installation.

* Ensure that the location where the panel is installed is accessible, clean and
free of debris

5) INSTALLATIONS

All switchboards are approved type and as per the approved shop drawings.
The switchboards comply local authorities requirements.

Please make sure the floor standby switchboards sit on proper location
above the opening where all the cable can enter properly.

A name plate will be provided with manufacturer name, panel name, type
rating etc.

Make sure MSB/SSB earthing work will done properly.

All cables shall be terminated as per the requirements.

After terminating all cables arrange inspection with authority to test the
switchboards.

Test complete function test of MSB, insulation test, high voltage injection
test , earth fault and over current test, earth test will carried out in the
presence of Consultant / Authority's representative

After approval energy meter can be procured and installed to the switchboards

Sub-switchboards and distribution boards are installed as per the

requirements

Mounting arrangements for the wall mounted switchboards are showing in the
shop drawings

SSBs / Wall mounted switchboards are installed in designated place at a

height of 500m from finish floor level. It is fixing through proper anchor
bolt M-10

All electrical DB mounting details and mounting arrangements shows in the

panel layout drawings. All DB location as per Construction drawings and
designated location as per the Architectural drawings.

No glanding work for pvc 1C cables. The opening knockout is protected with
rubber gaskets to avoid damage of cables.

Due to space constrains the DB are installed in layer top bottom arrangements

Trunking works will be provided in between the DBs to avoid many conduits
entering to the DBs.

All unwanted opening will be sealed after termination of cable to the DB.

Ensure the termination work will be carried out by qualified technician by

using proper tools

All termination work using proper gland and lay with necessary earth tag

Before energisation make sure all connecting cables and terminations are
checked and tested.

All switchboards will be labelled and provide schematic diagram for

further use.

7) CHECKLIST

Submit proper Checklist for MSB with the following;

All termination are proper

Glanding work with earth tag is installed

Earthing connection are properly done

Tighten all bolt and nuts with proper tools

All safety procedures will take before energise the boards

DBs are terminated properly during all cables with cable ties and separated
each phase and keep proper order in the switchboards
