Part B:

WARM-UP: Start at 5:10 P.M.


 Read the movie quotes, ask students to silently read along.
 Briefly talk about the movie plot and impact.
 Start the movie with a group discussion for 5 minutes.

PRE-TASK:
1. New vocabulary review a week prior in class.

o Categorize words (verbs, nouns, idioms,. etc.)


o Set a limit on number of words (20-30)
o Choose words that relate to the gist of the movie.

2. Grouped trainees from different levels at the start of the movie.


3. Explain to students that the movie has English subtitles.
4. Trainers will paused the movie 2 times to discuss vocabulary and ask questions.
5. Read through first the group of questions with trainees.
6. Trainees should be asked to pay attention to the list of words as they watch to connect the meanings
to the words in context.
7. They should read the questions to find answers as they actively watch.
8. Stop the movie only once half way. Have groups of students answer and discuss.
o (This will give them a chance to speak). Discuss answers as one group.

TEACHING TASK:
 Read the vocabulary and questions.
 Pause movie and discuss vocabulary and questions.
 Trainees will participate by answering questions and discussing inspirational parts.

FOLLOW-UP:
 Ask trainees about the challenges, the major decisions, and the moral of the movie.

BACK-UP TASK:
 If there is extra time, ask students to share their best inspirational quotes from the movie and/or their
favourite scene/s.
 They should be encouraged to share why/how these quotes influenced them. If there is no extra time,
this should be discussed in class.

FEEDBACK:
1. Either group discussion video or individual video.
2. Voice notes.
3. Written form with all trainees’ feedback.
