COURSE OUTLINES
SYNOPSIS
The course covers introduction to electrical supply system, single and three-phase supply,
elements of industrial power system, operation and industrial applications of electrical machines,
power transformers, single phase motors, solid-state drives and aspects of electrical safety.
PO1 Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals to the solution
of complex electrical engineering problems.
PO2 Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse complex electrical engineering
problems reaching substantiated conclusions.
PO3 Ability to design solutions for complex electrical engineering problems with appropriate
consideration for public health and safety, culture, society, and environment
