JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title Senior Solution Architect Reports To (Title) VP, Architecture Chapter

Organisation Unit Group IT Location Dubai, UAE


1. Organisation Unit Purpose (why does the unit exist? What are the results the unit is expected to deliver?)
The unit is responsible for building, implementing and enforcing common structures and guidelines for enterprise architecture and
solutions practices, standards, emerged patterns and technologies in order to enable world-class solutions delivery and build
resilient, agile and secured architecture landscape aligned with Company strategy.
Achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering architecture solutions that provide exceptional business value to
internal users and Client’s customers as well as ensuring common architectural standards across the Group. The unit maintains all
architectural blueprints and architects working in agile, platform, Infrastructure & data teams across Group IT.
2. Job Purpose (Why does the job exist? What is the unique contribution made by the job holder?)
The Senior Solution Architect plays a significant role in the solution definition, implementation and governance of the overall
solution implementation as per the best practices, architecture standard guidelines and reference architecture. The Senior solution
architect may be deployed permanently or temporarily as part of agile squads to facilitate agile delivery as well as may be deployed
permanently or temporarily as part of platform teams operate in waterfall delivery mode. Both deployment models will demand
from the senior solution architect to work closely with the software engineers, testers, other architects, platform owners and/ or
squad members in order to define and execute resilient, reusable, secured, scalable and highly performing solution architecture
that meets platform owners’ expectations in line with the architecture governance framework, technology roadmap and best
practices.

The successful candidate will perform work that involve close interactions and technical guidance in multiple functional areas such
as software development, testing, UX/ UI, different squads and architects in the organization in addition to external parties such as
consultants or solution/ technology vendors. This individual will also seek to ensure the optimum utilization of existing technology,
promote open standards, cost effectiveness and resilience as per the enterprise architecture guiding principles.
