O’Gorman went north to research the high school dropout rate
in Nunavut. Their findings show a need for more social housing,

Teachers have the unique opportunity to impact

education program is committed to preparing capable,
caring educational leaders who are grounded in the
ideals of service, scholarship, and equality.

UWinnipeg’s unique integrated education program lets you work towards a


Bachelor of Arts, Science, or Kinesiology while completing your Bachelor of
Education. There’s also a two-year after-degree program for those who already
have a university degree. Other ways to become a teacher include a joint program
with Red River College, the Vocational Teacher Education program, the Winnipeg
Education Centre (WEC) access program, the Certified Teacher program for
internationally trained teachers, and the Community-based Aboriginal
Teacher Education program (CATEP).
