Design a Raincoat!
Safety Considerations
Introduction
Specifications
You must create a raincoat that will keep the teddy dry when water is poured over it.
You may only use the classroom materials provided to construct your raincoat.
At the end of the lesson, you will present your raincoat design to the class.
The teacher will test how effective your raincoat is by pouring a cup of water of your
teddy…
If your teddy gets wet – your raincoat design was ineffective and you will need to design it
differently next time…
Think: What materials would be a good choice for a raincoat? Why? What materials would be unsuitable
for a raincoat? Why? What do you predict will happen what water is poured on the teddy.
