VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Life in modern world demands preparation. All individuals in every country are required to have
adequate education. They must prepare themselves for their work. They must have professional abilities
to do their job.

Vocational school as part of our national education system has the aims to prepare the students to get
into the profession, to enlarge the professional attitude, to be able to choose their career, to complete
and improve themselves, to be middle class workers, to meet the root of business field and industry.

There are many groups of vocational school such as business, management, technology, industry, social
welfare, tourism, arts, and handicraft groups.

Vocational school of business and management consist of some education programs that prepare the
graduates to work and improve their professions in some kinds of work such as office administration,
secretarial work, accounting, finance and banking, etc.

CIGARETTES ARE RISKY

Four weeks ago, I was late for work. I left my house five minutes later than usual and I saw my bus stop.
I began to run, but I was to slow. I waited than minutes for another bus and I was still gasping but now I
feel much better. Now I can ask : Why earth do people smoke ?

Every year, teams of doctors publish reports saying that smoking is dangerous for your health. Every
year, the British Government pays for advertisement telling people that smoking is bad for them, but
there are millions of people who still smoke twenty or thirty cigarettes a day.

There are no advertisement for cigarettes on television in Britain. The Government banned them six
months ago. If you read an English newspaper, you will see cigarette advertisement, but at the bottom
of each advertisement you will see the words : “ Every warning : smoking can damage your health “ .

People die every year from the effects of smoking. When a machine in a factory causes serious injuries,
the Government prohibits its use. Cigarettes cause death, but they are still in the shops. Why ?
