What truths regarding the plan of salvation does Alma emphasize and why?

I have grown to understand that truth is anything which is, which was, and which is to come.
This means truth is eternal. In Alma 40, I learned so many things about the plan of salvation,
which is central of our existence on this earth. The plan of salvation teaches about our pre-
earth life, the creation, the fall of Man (Adam and Eve), mortal life, and post mortal life.
In Alma chapter 40, Alma taught his Son (Helaman) about an aspect of the plan of salvation
which is resurrection of the dead. He perceived that his son was trouble by that concept, so he
taught him that resurrection will not come until after the coming of Jesus Christ. We all know
that we will die on this earth and when that happens, there is a place prepared for us to wait
for the judgement, and that place is spirit world.
In the spirit world, it is categorized into two, the paradise and the spirit prison or in other words
outer darkness. Alma taught that the paradise is a place prepared for those who lived a
righteous life and the outer darkness is for those who lived wicked lives on earth. They will stay
there till resurrection.
Now Alma taught that resurrection is the reuniting of the body with the soul. Pertaining to this,
Alma said “The soul shall be restored to the body, and the body to the soul; yea, and every limb
and joint shall be restored to its body; yea, even a hair of the head shall not be lost; but all
things shall be restored to their proper and perfect frame.”
How does your knowledge of the plan of salvation influence your life?
This knowledge of the resurrection has influence my life for good. It has made me to know
clearly that if I do not live a righteous life while on this mortal earth, I will die and go to the
spirit prison, where there will be gnashing of teeth, weeping and wailing. I know that if I live a
righteous life, I will be in the spirit paradise, where I will have a state of rest, a state of peace
and live in happiness whiles I await resurrection.
