From 1 Nephi 19:6, identify what Nephi said he was going to include on the small plates of
Nephi.
Answer: Nephi said he was going to include on the small plates the things, he thinks it is sacred.
From 1 Nephi 19:7–14, make a list of words and phrases that are meaningful to you in
describing the Savior.
Answer: The Savior cometh in six hundred years to come from the time Lehi left Jerusalem. The
Savior will be scourged, judged, smite, spitted on, and he will suffer all these because of his
kindness, and long-suffering towards us. He shall be crucified. The Lord shall surely visit all the
tribes of Israel.
From 1 Nephi 19:18, 23–24, record what Nephi said his purpose was in quoting from Isaiah.
Answer: His purpose was to persuade his brethren because they were a remnant of the house
of Israel. His purpose was to persuade them to believe in the Lord their Redeemer.
Write a paragraph describing how the Book of Mormon has helped you “more fully … believe in
the Lord [your] Redeemer.”
Answer: I know with all my heart that the Book of Mormon is indeed another testament of
Jesus Christ and it has not come to condemn the Holy Bible, but it has come to serve as a
witness and testify that whatever the Holy Bible teaches about the Savior is the truth. The
intent of all the prophets who wrote the Book of Mormon has made me to fully believe in the
Lord because their intents are to persuade men to come unto Christ and be perfected in Him.
