Teaching approach: this lesson is based on PPP approach.

Materials and resources: Pictures, photocopies, colour, pencils, scissors, glue.

Setting arrangement: Students will be sitting in a row.

Cooperative work: Students help each other and interchange ideas when doing the
activities.

Possible problems during the class: If they have to work in pairs and only one is doing
the activity, I will intervene and tell them that is necessary that both collaborate in the
activity in order to learn and help from the other.

Potential language problems: I will use techniques as gestures, miming, or pointing to

pictures to be understood.

Assessment: I will observe them if they can express themselves orally and if they can
write sentences correctly.

Routine: (5 min).

Purpose to start the lesson, get students into the mood for work.

I greet the students “ Hello, children how are you? ….

Students answer…..

Warm up (5 min)
Children are coming to the front and T. ask students what is ----------- wearing ?
right, and repeats after ……. Is wearing red and blue trainers, white socks and a
blue t- shirt and blue jeans. Good!.

Ok, Children, are you good in Math? Well, I need your help… I have to count the
clothes I have in my new … and she presents the picture … my new clothing
store. Do you like it? Look in my new store I have … two red hats and students
go on…

Ok, but , let´s revise the numbers from 1 to 20. Students say aloud the numbers
and the teacher writes them down she stops in 12 why? Because she explains
that from….

FIVE ________ FIF
SIX

and in groups. Then the teacher repeats
Activity 2. (10 min)

Teacher gives students an activity for them to solve it out in pairs. Teacher asks
Sts. to read the results aloud.

Activity 3 (10 min) Closure activity Revision.

Ok, children now let´s play a game called “ Stepping Stones”. Teacher says that
students can play in two pairs and another student will be the judge. Each pair
will choose a counter (yellow, green or red). The counter will be placed on the
vocabulary item (colours, name of heroes or clothes). They will have to cross with
only 5 counters to the other side of the river, stepping from one item word (e.g.
colours and then the rest heroes – clothes ) to the other side. The judge controls
for mistakes and if there are no mistakes he/she gives 10 points. The one that
reaches the higher score, will be the winner.
