Overview
Green Power Generation system based on nano-scale nuclear
reactions
Nano-particles catalyze nuclear reactions
Energy from nuclear reactions used to split water (Radiolysis) and
produce hydrogen gas

Deuterium is a heavy form of hydrogen
July 2009
Nanodots with deuterium in heavy water 6
Background
In 2008, Professor Arata of Osaka U. demonstrated that
5nm deuterated nano-particles have ‘incipient’ energy:
3-12 nm particles generate energy spontaneously and indefinitely
Phenomenon corroborated by VET Corp and three independent
Japanese labs

High Voltage discharges are confined by Nanodots
providing very high energy density 8
ICD Reactor System Concept
H2 Two coaxial electrodes
Heavy water containing
suspended nano-particles
High voltage discharges create
H2O high energy density nodes that
cause nuclear reactions with
. Radiolysis leads to deuterium nuclei
.. . H2 gas production Radiation from nano-scale
. nuclear reactions ionizes water
Radiolysis forms hydrogen and
.. oxygen gas
High Voltage Hydrogen gas is captured for use
Pulses from by fuel cell or other purposes

Status
EPRI has committed $150k to fund confirmation of Nanoscale
energy production in an Arata format – Passive system
EPRI funds are used for widespread replication at Stanford Research
Institute, MIT LL, and Naval Research Lab will corroborate findings
EPRI Milestones
Verified Arata’s experiment, showing that nano-particles produce
nuclear energy ( Ahead of schedule)
Assisted two Japanese Laboratories to Replicate at 5nm
