SANGGUNIAN RESOLUTION NO. 2015-073

A RESOLUTION APPROVING BARANGAY ORDINANCE NO. 6-S-
2015 OF BARANGAY SANGHAN, ”AN ORDINANCE REGULATING
THE HOME BASED GARDENING PROJECT OF BARANGAY SANGHAN,
CITY OF CABADBARAN AND PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREOF AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES”.

WHEREAS, referred to the Committee on Agriculture, Agrarian Reforms and

Livelihood is the Barangay Ordinance No.6-S-2015 of Barangay Sanghan, ”An
Ordinance regulating the Home based gardening project of Barangay Sanghan, City
of Cabadbaran and providing penalties thereof and other purposes;

WHEREAS, the Committee on Agriculture, Agrarian Reforms and Livelihood

conducted a Committee hearing last May 22, 2015 to discuss the matter;

WHEREAS, the said Ordinance is in tangent with the Home-Based Gardening

Ordinance of the City which will provide opportunities to the low income families who
are very much affected by the present financial crises that engulf the society,
promote food sufficiency and good nutrition especially in poor households, encourage
target households to produce their own vegetables and minimize their vegetable
purchases in the market and promote solid waste management at the household
level;

WHEREAS, the Committee recommended to approve the said Barangay

Ordinance.

NOW THEREFORE

BE IT RESOLVED, by the 3rd Sangguniang Panlungsod, in its 84th Regular

Session, to approve Barangay Ordinance No. 6-S-2015 of Barangay Sanghan,
“An Ordinance regulating the Home based gardening project of Barangay Sanghan,
City of Cabadbaran and providing penalties thereof and other purposes”.

RESOLVED FURTHER, to forward copy of this Resolution to the Barangay

Council of Sanghan thru Hon. Cherma A. Salem, Punong Barangay for information
and appropriate action.
