MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This agreement made and entered into by and among:

All teachers of Kasiglahan Village Elementary School with postal address at

Kasiglahan Village, San Jose Plains, Rodriguez, Rizal, represented by its KVESTA President,
Roberto A. Boco.

and

Dr. Elizabeth B. Medina, Principal III of Kasiglahan Village Elementary School with
postal address at Mediterranean Subdivision San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal.

WHEREAS, the teacher and principal will adhere on DepEd Memorandum 291, s.,
2008 stating on paragraph 1 c “The remaining two (2) hours of work to complete the required
eight-hour workday may be spent within or outside the school premises subject to the
guidelines of the Secretary of Education”, and DepEd Order 16, s. 2009 stating on paragraph
3 “It is reiterated that the mechanism for the additional two (2) hours work done by teachers
outside of the school premises shall be agreed upon through a written agreement by the
principal and the teachers as stipulated in Regional Memorandum (DEPED-4A-01B-RM-18-
550) paragraph 4 Section A. It is also stipulated in paragraph 5 that public school heads need
not require teachers to submit means of verification or evidences such as pictures, reports and
documents to prove that they have served their two hour work outside the school campus.

WHEREAS, Teachers and the Principal agreed that the teachers of Kasiglahan
Village School may spend the remaining two (2) hours of teaching related activities either
inside or outside the school premises.

WHEREAS, Teachers will stay in the school in any event that needs their physical
presence for school related activities. All the activities that will be done outside the school
must be approved by the school principal. That teacher should be ready anytime they will be
visited for monitoring of their output in case there are classroom observations or evaluation
of output like DLL, instructional materials, and computation of grades done at home. That
they will not be seen lobbying in the mall or other public places doing not related to school
work within their 2 hours outside the school that is within their 8 hours as per CSC
guidelines. That the school/school head is not liable to untoward incident happen to them
once they will log out to school and bad happen to them especially in times they go
somewhere not related to school work or for personal matters.

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the teachers
and the principal agree and stipulate the following:

A. KASIGLAHAN VILLAGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHALL:

1. Make sure that the six hour classroom teaching is being observed;
 2. Monitor the activities done by the teachers in their two (2) hours spent outside the
classroom;

3. Shall plan and assign teaching loads to teachers;

4. Properly distribute especial assignments to all teachers;

5. Classroom observation for new teachers shall be done not more than once every
quarter, unless teacher himself/herself makes the request for additional classroom
observations;

6. Annual medical examination shall be strictly implemented; and

7. Others as stipulated in the Regional memorandum

B. TEACHER ASSOCIATION AND THE PRINCIPAL SHALL:

1. Be aware of the schedule of the teachers who are designated to perform and
accomplish teaching related activities inside the school premises every day; and

2. Notify with Kasiglahan Village Elementary School a week before if teachers are
needed to stay in the school for school related activities.
